Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs’ friendship fallout seems to be permanent as Jackie has unfollowed Marge on Instagram ahead of the RHONJ season 14 premiere.
When season 14 of RHONJ premieres next month, fans will see different friendship dynamics emerge among the cast.
Jackie Goldschneider’s friendships with Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs took a turn for the worse last year. When Jackie joined RHONJ during season 9, she immediately bonded with Melissa and Margaret. Over the following seasons, they formed a close friendship that left them as thick as thieves, or so we thought.
Their bond weakened last summer as cameras rolled for season 14 of RHONJ. Oddly enough, it also happened to be around the same time Jackie buried the hatchet with Teresa Giudice.
Now, Jackie has unfollowed Margaret on Instagram ahead of the season 14 premiere of RHONJ.
The two reportedly attended a premiere event and were spotted at opposite ends of the red carpet.
While it’s unclear the source of Jackie and Marge’s fallout, AllAboutTRH sources say that it stems from Margaret trying to take credit for Jackie landing her book deal.
Back in September, sources told AllAboutTRH that Margaret and Jackie were “fighting” over how Jackie got her book deal for debut publication, The Weight of Beautiful.
“It’s about Jackie’s book,” All About the Real Housewives podcast host Roxanne Bahri revealed in September. “I think Margaret insinuated she got Jackie the book deal, but then Jackie didn’t want anyone to read it, and I think she allowed Jenn Fessler to read it, and Margaret was like, ‘Why wouldn’t you let me read it?’”
“And then it’s like the book deal thing, where it was like, ‘You know, you didn’t get me a book deal. Don’t take credit for that.’ That’s really what it is. That’s what she’s fighting with Margaret about,” she continued. “I don’t think Margaret is going to dismiss [Jackie]. “
Since then, Margaret and Melissa have insinuated that Jackie forged a friendship with Teresa throughout season 14 to score more screen time as a friend of the Housewives.
“There’s this narrative going around by some people that I did it for relevancy,” the RHONJ “Friend of” told Heavy.com on the red carpet at Z100’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in December 2023. “I can breathe and be relevant enough. I can show up and just be relevant enough. So I didn’t need to do that.”
“I can’t wait for people to see organically how a new friendship came about,” Jackie added. “I think it’s great. That’s what the shows should be like — you were fighting, and then you found your way back to each other. Who wants to stay on a ‘team’?”
This friendship fallout is sure to be a juicy storyline on RHONJ—we can’t wait to see it all play out!
