RHONJ OG Teresa Giudice opens up about the often unfair editing she’s experienced during her 14 years on the show. Tre’s answers might surprise you.

Longtime Bravoleb Teresa Giudice recently appeared on the Hollywood Raw podcast where she discussed her true feelings on how the Real Housewives of New Jersey producers frame her persona and story in the editing room.

Over the last fourteen years, Teresa Giudice has seen some of the best and worst edits on the Real Housewives of New Jersey franchise.

So, how does Teresa feel about it all? Well, her answer is surprising and complex as she admits she initially didn’t watch the show during the first few seasons.

“It didn’t bother me for so long ’cause I used to not watch my show,” she explained. “The past few years I’ve been watching the show … and I mean it is what it is.”

She added, “You can’t fight with your boss so you just accept it.” 

The RHONJ OG admitted that she has learned over the years that it’s pointless to try and argue with producers to edit a scene a certain way or to cut something out. Instead, Teresa says she’s learned to watch what she says when the cameras are rolling to avoid any potential issues.

“You just gotta think before you talk and make sure like your point gets across the right way,” she notes.

I re-watched the entire series over the last 2 months. It opens your eyes to so many things that may have been missed the first time around. A few things I have learned: 1. I cannot stand Melissa. Not one iota. She is about as fake as they come and should have been blamed for a lot of the arguments that ensued over the years. Talk about a flip-flopper. 2. Jackie...after her first season, I had had enough. Too vanilla for me and her eating disorder story got old fast. **I WOULDN'T WISH THAT ON ANYONE - I JUST GOT TIRED OF HEARING HER (Especially when so many scenes done are with her eating. I understand it may not have been a lot or of great substance, but still). I do like her and Evan together, although some of it seems a little pushed/fake. 3. Good God, Siggy. Holy hell. I remember feeling for her the first time watching her. This time...the crying, the whining, the loud talking, the yelling - just way, too over the top. 4. The twins...a bigger, holy hell. 5. I often wonder about Amber and her little husband (yes, I said little). 6. Dolores' Pauly - eeewwww. He IS Buzz Lightyear!! I still constantly pull for her and Frank (even though I know it's a shot in the dark). 7. The new Danielle - this chick is the reason I say the Jersey accent is filthy. 8. The one thing that shocked me the most was how much I ended up really loving Teresa in the end. Now that doesn't mean that I am okay with everything with her / things that she has done over the years!! I was beyond sick of hearing "family first," she doesn't hold grudges, etc., etc., but there's just something about her that I didn't realize I liked until I got through it all again. 8. I love, love, LOVE the husbands on this franchise. They are the absolute BEST!! I'm looking forward to the new season!

I watched them, too, about a year ago for the first time, Seasons 1 through maybe 7 or so. My take was a little different on some and the same on some, however. Ha. It was more interesting and not as annoying than the last two plus seasons. The new Danielle has a NY accent. I agree though that after hearing her, I find the accent annoying/irritating and never did before! All in all though, they sure do keep the negative NJ stereotype going. IMO RHNJ is the only one that pays the husbands an appearance fee so maybe that helps.

I just looked it up. Ha! It must be rough on Teresa that he is being sued because he hired Bo to find out if Vanessa would take him back a whole year ago or more and now it is back in the news! Ha! There is no other reasonable explanation he could give her for doing it. I hope the next suit has to do with investigating and probably hacking his co-workers.

Yes! When Luis blabbed it on the show (to brag and intimidate) about the co-workers, he backtracked and then later came up with the excuse of "death threats" as the reason why he hired Bo to investigate. I hope Fuda, Marge and Joe get together and sue him for the same type of thing if they can prove it. Luis needs to have someone like Bo as an "enemy" instead of people Teresa is jealous of! This one is Bo's fault for getting caught from what I read. I guess Vanessa was suspicious with the personal questions the fake patient/Bo employee was asking about her and Luis. Later the patient quit going but didn't pay the final bill!! So when Vanessa tried to track her down to get paid, she found out she was fake and employed by Bo!!

The excuse will probably be the same thing he told Teresa when it first came up. He probably said, "Babe, I didn't want to worry you about the "real death threats" that I think Vanessa was making so I also hired Bo to check her out and have someone pose as her patient". Until he is forced to say that, he will just say, she is crazy and harassing me. Ross says they have a "feud" (Vanessa and Luis).

I believe it's Page Six that brings up his s ex addiction. Vanessa is not the only woman who says that he has an addiction. A former ex named Paula also claims the same thing and where there is smoke there is fire. You should Google Paula Sanchez... he did some pretty terrible things to her including leaving her broke.

I will. Bo uses the word game, "I wasn't hired to investigate co-workers" because that would get him in trouble. By the reunion, Luis twice said he hired Bo to investigate "death threats" and Bo has never denied that. So he investigated his co-workers because of death threats so that won't get him in trouble. He'll probably use that as the excuse for investigating Vanessa because they have proof.

There's a better one on all about the tea titled, "Luis Ruelas Charged With WIRETAP and FRAUD In Bombshell Lawsuit". It took a year but finally! Teresa must be really mad to have it brought up again how her husband of only 6 months paid a PI to investigate his ex fiancee who canceled their early 2020 wedding due to his behavior. It sounded like he was testing the waters with a Bo employee pretending to be her patient to get info. Of course, he probably told Teresa he did it because he really thought she was doing "death threats" even though he came up with that excuse to justify having co-workers investigated and she knows it. HA!

I know you were and it didn't last long. This "complaint" started when he hired Bo to provide an employee to pose as Vanessa's patient more or less 6 months after he married Teresa. Fact. First he pays a PI to stalk his former love and now he has to pay lawyers because of it. Ha! They just keep that negative Jersey stereotype going!

The one trying to sell so called "adult sex toys" according to an article. I have no idea but some of her "fans" are calling her out on it. Ha! Another scam or failed business, IMO. According to Teresa, "“I’m hooking you all up with toys! EVERYONE who signs up will win either a [Bellesaco] toy or a massive discount! All you have to do is click the link in my bio & drop your email to enter,” Teresa wrote on February 11, along with a photo of herself holding a toy in a white robe. “100% discreet shipping & billing. Tag someone who deserves a [spicy] toy". The word is she is trying to sell them on her site. The same one where they collect credit card info, SS#s, and emails in exchange for monthly drawings since May that don't exist. So then they sell the info most likely or Luis uses it in a nefarious way since he knows all about that kind of business......(dot, dot, dot...) She had a similar sex toy business with the other husband after he was deported to Italy.

Not the point. The point isn't about the article on reality blurb is about her so called fans calling her out for selling sex toys. Her non-fans, like me, notice that it is likely part of the same scam to get credit card info, SSNs and emails to sell or for Luis to use in his "business". It also reeks of the same scam to promise "monthly" drawings to win a dinner with Teresa, $1,000 shopping spree and old cookbooks. I call it a scam because it promises monthly prizes yet in the pages of fine print there is not one mention of how the prizes are awarded. Therefore there are no prizes awarded and that is the legal loophole. The worst part is misleading and lying to stupid "fans" in order to get their personally identifiable information to sell or use for something else. They are desperate to collect more personal info to sell AND get more people to spend $4.99 or $9.99 a month for nothing but a promise of a sex toy mailed to them.

The people leaving negative comments are haters such as yourself. But let’s say they were her fans, it would still make perfect sense to face backlash because sex toys still have a societal stigma even outside Teresa. Everyone is not going to like the idea of sex toys. As I’ve said before, scams come with complaints and Teresa has NONE. Good for her, it’s not a scam. Or if you just don't know how, simply type in reality blurb on your search thing and click on NJ and it is the second one yesterday. They have disquis, like this one so you can comment, too if that is what you use here without any other signing in! By the way, what season did you hear clown music when Teresa does confessionals? I’m a person of a vast number of qualities with loyalty to a brand right at the top. There are a lot of housewives that complain about editing, some of them more so than others. Saying that you don’t like something and are just accepting that it happens is not complaining. Teresa acknowledged that she needs to articulate herself better and control her temper. The producers are just too far up the FameWhorgas’ asses to see the truth that most viewers see which is that the FameWhorgas are just lazy morally corrupt degenerates who have been earning their paychecks on the back of Teresa’s hard work. And FYI, producers on these shows do some straight bullshit editing. I saw an episode during season 5 on Summer House where they have Amanda on screen talking shit except her mouth LITERALLY WASN’T EVEN MOVING as the audio played. The producers edited something she said in a different conversation and put it in there and forgot to pull the camera away from her face as they inserted that audio. If they can do it on Summer House, they definitely do that shit on Housewives too. And just because the Gorga kids don’t get as much screen time as Teresa’s daughters do doesn’t mean they don’t film just as much as their cousins. Messy’s season 12 storyline was all about Antonia’s Sweet 16 but none of it aired despite all that filming Antonia did for it. No offense to Antonia and her brothers, but no amount of editing can make them interesting enough to compete with the Giudice girls.

Teresa's biggest problem is that she just cannot let go of the (finally confirmed) fact that her brother and cousins did her dirty by joining the show behind her back (11:15 in this interview). Obviously there have been times when she can (temporarily) fo'gettaboutit! and just enjoy the ride, but it seems like the resentment never really goes away and always resurfaces. Until they REALLY deal with it, they are never going to be able to reconcile. Seems to me a truly heartfelt apology from Joe and Melissa would fix the problem. But maybe they have, and if that's the case, then that's on Teresa. But so far, it appears that Joe and Melissa are not validating Teresa's feelings/hurt ... in fact, they are just like "Get over it already!"

It is now going on 13 years since her brother got on the show because Bravo wanted him and Melissa was part of the deal! (That has to be why NJ is the only one that pays husbands.) I read Bravo may have gotten the idea to get them on the show when Danielle talked about her hating her brother at a reunion.? The disagreement du jour had to do with him being upset with her because of the way she acted about him having a son. Then I do remember Melissa inviting her to the christening because it was the normal thing to do even though Joe didn't want her there. She had no use for him once he got married and now they are finally rid of each other except for the part time job. Everyone's happy. She just has to suck it up when they work together.

It's all for the show, Teresas hurt never kept her from signing a contract extension. Hard to feel sorry for anyone who chooses to wallow in their misery. IF she really felt so betrayed why move to the same neighborhood or better yet, leave the show? She isn't hurt because she doesn't care. She chose to finally dump the brother she's had no use for since he got married, except when she needs him to do something like help out when she and her husband were in prison close to five years. I do think it was apparent that she thought she'd be able to quit because of Luis since she acted like she was either bored or annoyed to be on camera, even at the reunion two seasons ago. She didn't listen to those who may have told her that she was sought out because of the show. I hope the ratings are so bad they cancel it altogether although it would have been nice to have a season without her and the ones that come with her, IMO.

It is safe from her in an LLC before they were even engaged. She has no money from the sale of her home. Whatever there was probably paid for Gabriella's first semester and the wedding hairdo. It is a temp job or part year, three to four months a year. They are just being filmed at times over a 3-4 month period. Of course she made it clear it was work to her by being bitchy all the time, complaining and acting annoyed and bored while on camera. Ha. She did the same at bravocon except when Jennifer went after a fan. That perked her up. Did you see her in an interview that was on this site or RB where there were hard questions about Luis. She was so unable to answer and got so flustered that her eyes were rapidly blinking for a long time. I never saw that before and it was funny. Then Luis mumbled something and then she said, "Oh, yeah and it was all Melissa's fault because she...". I am not kidding.

The house is safe from her. Not the rest of his assets, not his cash, 401k, stocks and bonds etc. She’s entitled to half of that. We don’t even know how much equity is in their home to say Teresa is being protected from the money! Teresa has money from the sale of her home dipwad, she said she got the money from the house instead of Joe because she paid back his debt and legal fees. If she didn’t get anything from the house dipwad she wouldn’t have said it. They get filmed everyday for 15 hour days for 3-4 months plus they are always being representatives of their shows when it’s being aired and in off-season. Their job doesn’t end until they leave the show. Idiot if you think all she had to her name was 100k spent for her schooling you’re an even bigger idiot than I thought. Teresa has made over 1m per year for years. That’s plenty of money to save for her kids schooling. Get tf out of her pockets you aren’t balancing her checkbook. There are two others on this thread plus another 6 plus more but some have multiple accounts and create new ones to run off those with fact based, disparaging comments about Giudice. IMO.

For her sake, yes (although I don't care as long as she goes away). I think he'll go to great lengths to paint her as the bad guy when it happens. If he bails after she is fired, there really won't be much money for him to go after and I don't see how she'll get anything from the house since it is protected in an LLC with only him listed (in the beginning part that can be seen by anyone). She'll be stuck living there unless he kicks her out. I've also thought for a while she may end up in the Bahamas (not "with" the ex, just nearby), especially if her brother doesn't help her out financially. (I think he will support her when she crawls back, since he basically said that at the end of the reunion).

From the beginning and it wasn't just about Melissa. Don't forget that Joe Giudice admitted on camera they sold stories to tabloids, too. He was so matter of fact about it saying, "Well, yeah, they pay us". That is why Caroline dumped her.She and Luis still do as is evident (IMO) here....(That is also why Luis hired a PI to investigate all his co-workers apparently! After he opened his big mouth bragging about it, he back tracked since Bo couldn't legally do it without cause. So much later he said/lied (twice) it was because he was getting "death threats". Ha!!!
