Get the juicy scoop on why RHOBH alum Diana Jenkins deleted her Instagram page over the weekend after she was caught posting fake news.
Diana Jenkins has left Instagram – for the moment, at least. The RHOBH alum deleted her Instagram account after it was revealed that she shared a quote from Andy Cohen at BravoCon 2023 that was entirely made up by a fan.
The drama started with the Twitter account @SONJARITA creating a fake quote from Andy Cohen about RHOBH alum Diana Jenkins.
In the post, @SONJARITA made it seem like Andy Cohen said at BravoCon that he would love to see Diana Jenkins back on RHOBH after she became a one-season wonder earlier this year. Diana joined the season 12 cast of RHOBH in 2022, but by January 2023, she was done with the show – it’s unclear if she chose to leave RHOBH or if Bravo quietly fired her.
The fake quote read:
“#bravocon: Andy Cohen admits he’d like to see Sanela Diana Jenkins back on #rhobh. ‘She was at the level I want the show to be at.’”
At the time, everyone believed the quote to be real including Diana, which is why she swiftly posted it to her Instagram account and received loads of support from her former RHOBH co-stars, who also said they’d love to her back on the show.
Diana shared the fake quote from Andy and commented: “@bravoandy much appreciated. To all of those who didn’t understand why I joined the show and what my storyline was, here it is. Much love to you all.”
Former RHOBH star Lisa Rinna commented:
“They f–king blew it with you.”
RHOBH OG Kyle Richards simply commented with a series of red hearts.
On the other hand, Dorit Kemsley wrote: “Agree with Andy!!!”
“Come backkkkkkk. Love, Lindsay,” Crystal Minkoff commented.
However, a short time later, Andy Cohen broke the news that the quote was entirely fake.
“This is a made-up quote, folks. Never mentioned DJ once all weekend, nor was I asked,” Andy wrote on the @Philly.Diva Instagram page.
You’d think this news would result in Diana swiftly deleting her previous post from Instagram, but that’s not what went down. Instead, Diana doubled down on claims that Andy Cohen and Bravo loved her on RHOBH and would be happy to have her back on the show.
Diana shared a text message between her and RHOBH producer Alex Baskin that read:
Alex: “I will! You “deserve it, and I love that he said it! I want you to ,look back on the wild adventure with the show and feel good about it!”
Diana: “Thank you, Alex; means the world to me.”
Alongside the text message, Diana shared:
“Dear haters, every time you came for me, I always showed you receipts. Here is another very sweet one. @bravoandy and I never met each other, and I don’t really know him. We don’t communicate on a personal level at all. Professionally, I have nothing but respect for all his accomplishments. This is the latest [text] exchange between myself and @thealexbaskin. As you know, Alex is [Andy’s] business partner and show producer. Soooo, as you can see, it’s all love and mutual respect. Move on with your BS from my personal page. It’s just time-wasting blocking and deleting hate.”
It’s unclear what Diana hoped to prove by sharing that text exchange, but whatever it was, it didn’t work because she deleted her Instagram page a short time later.
Meanwhile, the Twitter account @SONJARITA, who started all the drama by creating the fake quote from Andy Cohen, reacted to the news that Diana had deleted her Instagram account and apologized.
