RHONJ star Joe Gorga’s Contractors Hire High-Powered Attorney to Battle Him in $110K Lawsuit

RHONJ's Joe Gorga

RHONJ’s Joe Gorga better buckle up because his former contractor is getting out the big guns to battle him out in court over a $110k lawsuit!

Things just keep getting worse and worse for Joe Gorga. The U.S. Sun reports that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s contractor has hired a high-powered attorney to go after Joe in their $100k lawsuit.

Plaintiff County Concrete Corporation has retained Peter A. Comitale, Esq., of Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman, P.C., to represent the company in their lawsuit against Joe Gorga.

The New York City-based law firm’s website explains that they are experts in “construction-focused” legal issues.

“Over the past 30 years, Cohen Seglias has grown from a three-attorney construction-focused law firm to a firm with over 70 attorneys across eight offices offering a wide range of legal services. Our clients operate in the United States and internationally and in a variety of industries. We are committed to building success in all aspects of our practice- success for our clients, our people, and our communities.”

Joe Gorga, on the other hand, is being represented by New Jersey-based firm Bio & La Racca Law Office.

Back in February, The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband was slapped with a $110k lawsuit over the construction of his and his wife, Melissa Gogra‘s new Franklin Lakes home.

Joe and Melissa Gorga’s new Franklin Lakes home.

Joe and Melissa moved into their new home late last year after buying it for $950k in early 2021 and spending nearly a year and a half rebuilding the mansion from the ground up.

Joe was initally sued for $30k in November 2022 by County Concrete Corporation, who accused him of not paying construction costs on his new home. All About the Tea was the first to report on this lawsuit.

County Concrete Corporation later amended its lawsuit against Joe and is now suing him for $110,972.58.

In the amended complaint, County Concrete Corporation claims they provided building materials to Joe from September 2021 to January 2022, totaling $110,972. 58.

“The Plaintiff has attempted on multiple occasions to contact the defendants,” court papers read. “The defendants have failed to pay the monies owed to the plaintiff for the materials that were previously provided. The defendants have failed to fulfill their obligations with the plaintiff. The defendants failure to do so constitutes a breach of contract.”

County Concrete Corporation is requesting a trial by jury.

Production for season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey will start in late August.

It's a good thing his stand up comedy act is going strong...LOL!

Teresa and her husband are in Greece, so I'm guessing the announcement of the second winner of her VIP experience is not going to be announced soon? And, why have we not seen any videos or photos of the first winner enjoying the fruits of her win? Something smells fishy in Denmark. Maybe she's using the money from her VIP experience site to pay for this latest vacation, or maybe she's paying her taxes? ?

“We pay our bills” - Messy Whorga in the season 3 premiere as she wasted no time bashing Teresa for her financial problems in her intro. Thank God it’s on tape so that everyone can see what a hypocrite she is. I also listened to your latest podcast and I think you’re onto something about Melissa making Dolores part of ther storyline. After watching the reunion, I was wondering how salty the FameWhorgas felt about Dolores blocking their attempt to drag her son into the drama. I think Princess Gorga is kind of scared of Dolores but I’ve seen Melissa take on Dolores in season 8 over the charity Posche Fashion show and she quickly backed down from Dolores but this may be her last season and she feels like she has nothing left to lose.

It's about time a contractor who sues Joe asks for a jury trial! IMO, it shows the company means business! It has to be frustrating for any contractor to have to plead to get paid! Joe better make sure he has receipts! If he wasn't satisfied with concrete companies product/work why didn't he sue them first? ?

If this story is true, this is a business lawsuit. This happens all the time especially in construction. Nothing to see here! It's sad how folks get so excited to see others fail and wishing they lose everything. Reality shows are produced and edited so the reality portrayed on the show may be false reality. It's OK to have a favorite HW, but to go as far as trying to destroy non favorites, well that's where I draw the line. Some fans/bloggers have been horrible this season to the point they are ruining reality shows for others.

Margaret and Rinna started this

The article says that the lawsuit is against Joe, not any named business.

Where are all the people that claim the Ruelas-Guidice family is broke?
book7175 July 25, 2023 - 11:07 am
And what does that have to do with this article?
Ross July 25, 2023 - 11:40 am
If the Guidice-Ruelas are broke for their lawsuits then using the same logic the Gorgas should also. Obviously.
book7175 July 25, 2023 - 11:59 am
Not paying someone does not necessarily mean you can't, or you're broke. Maybe he had an issue with the contractor and that's why he's not paying.
sbud July 25, 2023 - 3:18 pm
He has a lot of issues and reasons to not pay a lot of companies
book7175 July 26, 2023 - 7:58 am
Like his sister and her husband who cheated many companies and declared bankruptcy so people would never get paid?
Blush128 July 26, 2023 - 10:47 am
Let us not forget the Hurricane Sandy victims that they ripped off. That is the lowest of the low.
Ross July 25, 2023 - 3:52 pm
Oh I know that. The Guidice-Ruelas haters don’t seem to. Do they get the same excuse for their bills?
book7175 July 25, 2023 - 5:22 pm
Maybe, I don't know.

There was a recent article that Teresa is the poorest of the housewives. Just a couple of months ago it was reported her net worth was only , 500,000, now it's reported that she's only worth $400,000.

I hope County Concrete wins and nails his butt to the wall.

These types of cases are extremely straightforward to litigate. Someone’s going to have to prove their case and pay or negotiate. I’m guessing quality of concrete was in question or delay of job.
holy cannoli July 25, 2023 - 9:21 am
I agree, they are. And yes, that very well could be.
Italia July 25, 2023 - 2:44 pm
They will end up negotiating. It is in both their interests. Lawyer fees will go into the tens of thousands fast. Prob both at fault.
holy cannoli July 25, 2023 - 2:59 pm
I think so too.
