Andy Cohen is clearing the air after receiving a lot of criticism over saying that Kyle Richards’ husband, Mauricio Umansky, is “available” to date.

Bravo’s Andy Cohen is walking back his recent comments about Mauricio Umansky being single and “available” for Real Housewives of New York newbie Brynn Whitfield to date.

On Twitter, Andy Cohen insists he was just joking when saying Kyle Richards’ husband is “available” to date.

“I was being absolutely flip and cheeky – not serious on any level,” Andy tweeted.

Andy Cohen insists he was only joking about saying Kyle Richards’ husband is single.

As AllAboutTRH previously reported, Andy Cohen told Brynn Whitfield that Mauricio Umansky is on the market after the RHONY newbie admitted that she thinks he’s the “hottest Housewives husband” at the Real Housewives of New York season 14 premiere party.

Andy’s comment came on the heels of rumors that Kyle and Mauricio are separated. The RHOBH couple have denied split rumors but have admitted to going through a rough year in their marriage.

“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” Kyle and Mauricio said in a joint statement“However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”

Bravo also recently resumed filming for season 13 of RHOBH amid Kyle and Mauricio‘s marital woes.

Naturally, Bravo fans had a lot to say about Andy’s comment and his decision to walk back his shady comment.

Andy Cohen looks annoyed by the drama.

“That was so disrespectful; Andy has no boundaries,” one fan quipped.

“He REALLY has no loyalty. Jill, Teresa, Nene,” a second fan said.

A third fan commented, “Bet Kyle didn’t think it was ‘flip and cheeky.'”

“This man is MESSY! How can he make such a joke at a time like this for Kyle & Mau? I can’t stand Andy!” a fourth fan wrote.

Another fan noted: “I would imagine, even though he was obviously joking, would hurt Kyle, who he has a very long working relationship with.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is reportedly returning to Bravo for season 13 in late 2023. Some reports suggest season 13 will premiere on November 1.

Of course he meant it flippantly. But that does not mean he wasn't saying what we all know to be true. At least he waited until Kyle and Mo admitted they were separated but living together. He could have said it several years ago. Mauricio has made himself available to many women for a long time.

Why would Andy care? Andy is such a freak, he can't maintain a romantic relationship with anyone.
