Bravo imposed a gag order on the RHONJ cast just weeks into season 13 airing as the drama between the cast was getting uglier and uglier by the minute on social media. But now they have officially put the RHONJ cast on a social media and podcast freeze until after the season 13 reunion finishes airing.

Former Bravoleb Jeff Lewis confirmed that the RHONJ cast is on a social media and podcast freeze when he had Margaret Josephs on his Sirius XM Radio Show, Jeff Lewis Live, this week. Confused? Let’s explain.

Jeff revealed that he had to jump through hoops with Bravo to have Margaret on his show this week because of the publicity freeze the RHONJ cast is under.

“All of Jersey’s castmates are on a publicity freeze until after the reunion.”

Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice face off at the RHONJ reunion.

Jeff went on to explain:

“I did have several conversations. I had conversations with not the EVP, but the SVP, the VP – I went down the line. Now, I thought we were good in the sense of, I said, look, ‘I have made mistakes in the past. I’m in good standing with you. I don’t wanna screw anything up. I promise I will adhere to your rules and boundaries.’

He continued:

“However, we have a Bravo Marshall here today. Sarah Page. My favorite Bravo Marshall.”

The former Flipping Out star then asked Sarah if she works for NBC, which is when she clarified that the RHONJ cast is NOT on a publicity freeze but a “social media/podcast” freeze.

Sarah Page said:

“I work for NBC Bravo in the communications team, but I do wanna correct you, you said they’re on a publicity freeze. They’re not; they’re on a social media ban and a podcast freeze.”

It’s no secret that the drama leading up to and during season 13 of RHONJ has been ugly. Things were getting so bad on podcasts and on social media that Bravo had to step in and intervene.

In March, Bravo hit the RHONJ cast with a gag order, preventing them from talking about the show or their castmates on podcasts and social media. The network issued the gag order to put a stop to social media feuds, trolling, and fan account drama among the RHONJ cast.

RHONJ’s Joe and Melissa Gorga

Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, confirmed Bravo’s gag order during the March 23 episode of her On Display podcast.

Joe told fans:

“We got a gag order for the first time ever because it’s Bravo. Let’s tell the truth. We’ve been on this show for 13 years, and we’ve never been on a gag order through Bravo. We’ve never had them say you cannot talk about the show; you cannot talk about anything. You can’t repost anything really about the show.”

Melissa added:

“We all got a little slap on the wrist because, for some reason, this season has been really kooky, social media, people just getting kooky on social media. There’s a lot of lies, a lot of false narratives out there.”

The 44-year-old also revealed that the RHONJ cast is also not allowed to share posts from fan accounts on social media.

“It’s just so weird this year. Everything’s different, and everything’s just like, different,” Melissa said.

Part one of the RHONJ season 13 reunion airs Tuesday, May 30 at 9 pm on Bravo.

Thoughts on this all? Sound off below!

The RHONJ cast is going on a social media freeze to avoid potential spoilers and leaks ahead of the Season 13 reunion. This measure is taken to maintain the suspense and keep the reunion episodes exciting for the viewers.

The social media freeze will last until after the Season 13 reunion episodes have aired. Once the reunion episodes have been broadcasted, the cast members will be free to resume their social media activities as usual.

While the cast members may still be active on social media during the freeze, they will refrain from posting any content related to the show, especially concerning the reunion events. Their posts may focus on other aspects of their lives, but they will avoid any RHONJ-related discussions to maintain the element of surprise for the viewers.

Doesn't seem to be working. Teresa has been going steady with statements that are published. The latest was being upset with Marge for not staying at the wedding longer because Teresa wanted to dance with her! Ha. She is really hard up for something to disparage her about. Luis is probably really putting the pressure on her to demand attention. He hasn't learned that it will probably backfire.

Thank you BRAVO, cause with BravoCon to IG, None of them can control themselves. And it will be soon clear those who can't work within their contracts, will not get contracts for S14. Plus viewers want a fresh Reunion without cast (Melissa/Marge/Jen/Tre) spinning the realty before it.

Does this include giving very specific information to blogs regarding details of an episode that hasn't yet aired?

They need to adjust the contracts of all of them in the future so they don't do the show on social media. It will be hard for most at first because they are addicted but it really shouldn't be that hard since it is a childish pastime anyway. If people don't attack then nobody needs to defend and counter attack.

Let’s see if the podcast/sm ban works the next 3 weeks. It did not work before at all and a few even did more podcast interviews, (Joe Gorga,) Delores was on Jeff Lewis yesterday with Paul?, but if they want to be hired back and jobs on the line they may want to actually listen to Bravo this time.

Since it wouldn't be in their contracts and since most are so addicted plus the juvenile response when talked about is to defend oneself, I don't think it will work but it is good they are trying. For starters, they could put in the contracts that podcasts regarding bravo shows cannot be operated by current and former bravo show participants (I refuse to call any of them stars). That would get rid of Teddi, Teresa, Melissa and whoever else. There is zero need for it anyway.
