What Impact Will Mary Cosby’s Return Have on Season 14 of RHOSLC?
Multiple sources confirm to Page Six that Mary Cosby is returning as a friend of the Housewives for the upcoming fourteenth season of the Salt Lake City Housewives franchise, which is set to begin production on February 13. One source notes that Mary will not be a full-time Housewife but instead will “film a few scenes” for season 14. “Mary wanted to come back,” the insider said. A second source reveals that Mary wanted to return for season 3 of the franchise but needed time to “process” her former co-star Jennie Nguyen’s racist social media posts that led to her firing following season 2. Jennie was fired in January 2022 after several controversial posts from her social media were uncovered. The posts mocked everything from the Black Lives Matter movement to the protests that occurred following the murder of George Floyd in 2020. “Mary was dealing with a lot of trauma after Season 2,” the insider revealed. “Jennie’s racist posts really seemed to shake Mary, especially after Jennie threw a glass at her on camera,” the source explained. “Mary was grateful for the time away from the cameras, but she seems ready to get back in the mix.” In February 2022, a source revealed that Mary “did not enjoy her time on the show or form any strong bonds with the ladies.” However, that has since changed as Mary has recently reconnected with Meredith Marks. “They’ve reestablished a connection over the past year,” the source noted, “and have been texting and talking more in recent months.” RHOSLC OGs Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, and Marks are all returning for season 4. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.Thoughts on this all? Sound off below!
