Ashley and Michael Darby’s divorce will play out during season 7 of the Real Housewives of Potomac; however, the reality TV star is hinting at what ultimately caused the end of their marriage.
While appearing on The Side Piece Podcast, Ashley opened up about her split from Michael before revealing that they are still living together.
“Unfortunately, I can’t talk about too much because it’s part of the show, and we are filming right now. But of course, when we are done filming, I’ll be more than happy to open up about it,” Ashley explained. “But yes, there was an event ultimately that was the catalyst for what was already happening between us.”
Despite there being an event that ultimately ended their marriage, Ashley admits she has “no resentment” towards Michael.
“I don’t hate him,” she noted.
The Bravoleb also confirmed that she and Michael are still living together but insists they aren’t sharing a bedroom any longer.
“I know when he comes home just because my ears perk up as soon as he opens the door. As soon as that locks turns, I’m wide awake. It’s just inherent because I’m always listening for the kids. So he’s able to like sleep through me coming home, but I’m not able to sleep through [him coming home],” she explained.
She added, “And he’s living his best life too.”
When asked if Michael was pulling a Lenny Hochstein and was “just out and about” having fun, Ashley replied, “Yes.”
“[But] I didn’t blow up his spot like my girl Lisa did. She checked that a— real quick, huh. I didn’t do that yet. [And] there’s no point now. We’re not together now,” she elaborated.
Regarding her split, Ashley says Gizelle Bryant and Karen Huger have been there for her the most.
“My go-to girl is definitely Gizelle,” Ashley admitted. “She has been there for me. She’s one of the first people I told when I was pregnant, and she was one of the first I told about my separation. She’s been there for a lot of my major milestone moments. And Karen, the Grand Dame has been holding me down. She’s been through divorce as well. [Ray Huger] is her second husband. She is very wise. She is surprising me with her wisdom. “
RHOP is expected to wrap filming for season 7 at the end of the summer. The season is likely to premiere in late 2022 or early 2023.
