There’s a lot more to Dina Manzo’s friendship fallout with Dolores Catania.
The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star recently revealed that her sister Caroline Manzo and Dolores both wrote letters of support to help Dina’s ex-husband Tommy Manzo get out of jail after he was arrested for allegedly orchestrating an assault and home invasion on Dina and her husband, Dave Cantin.
“Both did,” Dina told two RHONJ fans who were discussing whether it was Dolores or Caroline who wrote the pro-Tommy letter.

It’s no secret that Caroline advocated for releasing Tommy from prison. Caroline is married to Tommy’s brother Albert Manzo.
Now Dina alleges that Dolores did the same, which may be the reason for their fallout.
Tommy was arrested on May 11, 2021, and was charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, and stalking.
Tommy is linked to two attacks involving Dina and her current husband. Police accuse the New Jersey businessman of hiring reputed Lucchese crime family associate John Perna to beat Dave outside a strip mall in 2015. The younger Manzo brother was also reportedly involved in the 2017 home invasion that left Dina and Dave bound, beaten, and robbed.
Shortly after Tommy’s arrest, Caroline wrote a letter vouching for his character. Caroline previously said she was “heartbroken” over the charges against Tommy.
“This is family on both sides,” she said to Extra TV at the time. “I want to know the truth, and my allegiance will lie with the truth. We don’t run from things like this, we address them, and I feel comfortable with that because we are being painted with a brush that does not reflect who we are as people.”
Meanwhile, during a recent interview with Page Six, Dolores claimed that she and Dina “never had a fight or a falling out.”
“Sometimes friendships have expiration dates. There’s no rhyme or reason why two people have to always stay in each other’s lives. You don’t need to get in a fight to go separate ways,” she elaborated.
“I was a part of Dina’s life that she was here, so that was something I feel like she wanted to leave, which she did. That’s my guess,” she continued. “She moved on from a life that she had, and I was a part of that. Understood and understandable. Again, I’m not offended!”
RHONJ will return for season 13 in late 2022 or early 2023.
