Dolores Catania Admits She’s Upset Over Teresa Giudice’s Engagement Party Snub; Says She Has No Interest In Repairing Friendship With Dina Manzo

The truth always comes out.

Dolores Catania admits that she is upset over not being invited to Teresa Giudice and Louie Ruelas’ engagement party.

During part one of the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 reunion, Andy Cohen brought up the fact that Dolores was at Teresa and Louie’s engagement party which took place in December 2021.

Teresa claimed Dolores wasn’t invited to the event because she and her ex-boyfriend David Principe had not been on a “double date” with her and Louie.

At the time, Dolores accepted Teresa’s explanation and said that she only wanted to see Teresa happy. However, things have changed now that Teresa has revealed the real reason Dolores wasn’t invited to her engagement party.

On the Slut Pig Podcast with Christian Grey Snow, Teresa confessed that Dolores wasn’t invited to her engagement party due to her feud with Dina Manzo.

Dina attended the party as did RHONJ stars Melissa Gorga and Jennifer Aydin.

Now, Dolores is sharing her feelings about the snub and she’s not holding back.

“I would be lying to say it didn’t [hurt] on some level,” Dolores told Page Six. “Not being invited to somewhere shouldn’t hurt me, OK? So I’m going to remind myself of that when these things happen. I am human, but I shake it off and I’m, like, OK.”

“I spoke to Teresa about it and she was like, ‘You know, I don’t why I said that.’ Whatever the reason is, should there be a reason? No,” she explained. “To me, there was no good reason — whether it was Dina or whether it was we didn’t go out for couples.”

While Dina and Dolores no longer speak, Dolores insists the two “never had a fight or a falling out.”

“Sometimes friendships have expiration dates. There’s no rhyme or reason why two people have to always stay in each other’s lives. You don’t need to get in a fight to go separate ways,” she elaborated.

“I was a part of Dina’s life that she was here, so that was something I feel like she wanted to leave, which she did. That’s my guess,” she continued. “She moved on from a life that she had and I was a part of that. Understood and understandable. Again, I’m not offended!”

While there’s no bad blood between her and Dina, Dolores admits she has no interest in rekindling their friendship.

“I think we’re different,” she says. “I’m not saying that I wouldn’t say hello to her and her husband, Dave [Cantin]. I saw them at Teresa’s mom’s funeral. I saw them at her niece’s wedding,” she said. “We spoke. I met Dave.”

Dolores also notes that she and Teresa don’t allow their individual friendships with Dina and Caroline Manzo to get in between their long-standing relationship.

“It’s kind of like diplomatic immunity. [Teresa] and I have a vested friendship from a very long time ago that these things will not get in the way,” Dolores notes. “We made a pact that they won’t. Sometimes we can fight and have it out and we’re fine the next day. That’s how we are as friends.”

Part three of the RHONJ season 12 reunion airs Tuesday, May 17, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
