Not guilty!
Mary Cosby has pleaded not guilty to two charges of “unlawfully providing shelter to a runaway” and “contributing to the delinquency of a minor,” according to Page Six.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star made her plea on June 28. She is due back in court on August 12 for a pre-trial conference.
Details surrounding the incident remain unknown; however, it has been reported that Mary’s son Robert Cosby Jr. may have also been involved. Per court documents, Mary was charged on April 8.
A rep for Mary insists the charges are a “misunderstanding.”
“Mary is saddened that she was dragged into another family’s domestic situation but is confident that this misunderstanding will be cleared up soon,” the rep said in a statement.
It’s unclear if Mary’s legal woes will be featured on season 2 of RHOSLC as the show was filming when the charges were filed.
Bravo has yet to comment on the charges against Mary.
Mary is the second Salt Lake City Housewife to land herself in legal trouble in recent months.
In March, Jen Shah was arrested and charged for conspiracy to commit wire fraud as part of a national “telemarketing scheme.” She is facing 30 YEARS in prison if convicted.
As expected, season 2 of RHOSLC will document Jen’s legal woes. According to sources, the second season of the Salt Lake City Housewives franchise is set to premiere on Sunday, September 12.
The franchise stars Mary, Jen, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Meredith Marks. Newcomer Jennie Nguyen will join the ladies.
Stay tuned for more on this developing story!
RHOSLC will return to Bravo for season 2 in late 2021.
