Tamra Judge Not Returning To Orange County After Being Offered ‘Humiliating’ Pay Cut!

Tamra Barney

Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney revealed this past weekend that she was shockingly quitting the hit show after being featured for 12 years. An even bigger surprise was when she unfollowed every cast member following her announcement including Andy Cohen. So why did Tamra decide not to return? According to Radar Online, Tamra was offered a humiliating pay cut from $900,000 a season to $20,000 for three episodes in a transitional role

A source reveals, “Bravo bosses wanted her to be bridge from the old cast to the new in season 15 and she refused. Tamra got her pick up contract letter last, after the other ladies, and it had major conditions in it. Tamra was even more than demoted to a friend role’ as ‘she’d have very little camera time … and it meant she would earn next to nothing in reality TV terms. She would go from $900,000 a season to $20,000 an episode for just three show appearances, which would add up to $60,000 total. It was humiliating.”

Tamra also opened up to People about her exit saying, “It’s been a wild ride, and after all these years, I’m looking forward to life away from the cameras. I was offered a chance to come back to the show in a limited role, but would prefer to walk away on my own terms.”

Perhaps this could be a good thing for Tamra especially when it comes to her estranged relationship with her daughter Sidney.

Are you surprised by Bravo’s decision to initially limit her role on the show?
