The Real Housewives of New Jersey have been on for ten years! Season 10 of the RHONJ is set to start airing next month. Teresa Giudice is the only OG of the RHONJ to appear every season. The original cast was made up of Teresa, Dina Manzo, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, and Danielle Staub. Some of the ladies still pop in and out during the show, while others have left and then returned in later seasons. The ladies in the Garden State always bring it and are known for their love of family, food and fashion. In honor of the RHONJ being around for a decade and the fact that they are returning next month for season 10 – here is a then and now of the original castmates. One thing is for sure, the original cast of the RHONJ is amazing!
Teresa Giudice:
NamasTre! Teresa is the only cast member to appear on every season of the RHONJ. The wife and mother of four daughters (Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana) has shared her life with viewers for ten years and counting. She’s the author of four cookbooks and two autobiographies, with many of her books being on The New York Times bestsellers list. Teresa has also appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, done bodybuilding competitions, and become a certified yogi. Teresa’s personal life is always in the media and is put on blast on the show. She’s been going through a lot over the past few years, with the loss of her mother, Antonia Gorga, and her husband, Joe Giudice, going away. Prior to that she served 11 months and had her own special on Bravo, Teresa Checks In. The RHONJ didn’t film while Teresa was away, instead filming for the show didn’t resume until she returned home. She’s currently dealing with her husband’s ongoing deportation battle. Teresa has gone from her iconic moment of flipping a table during season one of the RHONJ – to turning the tables!
Dina Manzo:
Dina is the housewife that brings the Zen! She appeared on season one and left halfway during season two. She appeared as a guest during season four with Teresa and came back full-time for season six. Dina also appeared on Teresa’s spin-off special, Teresa Checks In. Dina is known for being a party planner and a mom. She now splits her time between her home in New Jersey and her house in Malibu, California. Dina got a divorce from Tommy Manzo and remarried Dave Cantin. In May of 2017, Dina and Dave attended Teresa’s daughter’s communion, and they were the victims of a robbery and attack at her NJ home. Dina has a love of ladybugs and her charity, Project Ladybug, raises money for children diagnosed with cancer. Dina is still close with her friend and former co-star, Teresa.
Caroline Manzo:
Mama Manzo! Caroline was known for being the matriarch of her family on the RHONJ. The wife and mother of three appeared on the show for the first five seasons. She then ventured into a spin-off series, Manzo’d With Children for three seasons. Caroline’s husband owns and runs the catering and event facility, The Brownstone, located in NJ. Caroline is the author of her autobiography, Let Me Tell You Something. Caroline has been enjoying the role of grandma since 2017. It’s often rumored that Caroline will make her return to the RHONJ. Stay tuned!
Jacqueline Laurita:
Jacqueline appeared on the RHONJ for the first five seasons. She then appeared as a guest during season six and returned full-time for season 7. Jacqueline and her husband, Chris Laurita, created a popcorn line ‘The Little Kernel.’ She also wrote a beauty, style and wellness book, Get It! The Busy Girl’s Guide to Getting Your “It” Together. They have been focusing on their family since departing reality TV, especially their youngest son who has Autism. In addition to being an Autism advocate, she became a nutrition coach. Jacqueline became a grandma and ‘glamma’ when her grandson was born in the summer of 2016. Jacqueline and Chris recently moved this summer from NJ to Las Vegas with their two sons. Jacqueline recently revealed that she has a new podcast: The Lookover Ladies.
Danielle Staub:
Danielle was on the first two seasons of the RHONJ, and in 2017 it was announced that she was returning to the show as a friend of the wives. She’s been appearing alongside the ladies on the RHONJ ever since. Danielle and Teresa had a falling out during the early seasons of the show, however; they bonded over yoga years later and made amends. Teresa even served as the maid of honor in Danielle’s 2018 wedding to Marty Caffrey. They were good friends in the recent seasons until it was announced a few months back that they had a fallout again. The reason for their friendship shift is set to be revealed next season on the RHONJ. Danielle and Marty divorced in 2019 and she was later engaged to Oliver Maier – however, she ended the engagement a few weeks ago. Danielle is set to appear next season!
I love the OG’s of the RHONJ! The earlier seasons of the show were so good. I’m happy that Teresa is still on the show and never left, I can’t picture it without her. I’m looking forward to watching season 10 soon!
The Real Housewives of New Jersey will premiere November 6th on Bravo TV.
