Dolores Catania, star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to dish on all of the drama. The last episodes of RHONJ were super dramatic, as the ladies vacationed in Mexico. “To get to that point, it takes a lot to calm down,” Dolores explained. She opened up on WWHL about the RHONJ drama, if she has any regrets this season, her friendships, and what she’s excited to have aired at the upcoming reunion!
Teresa Giudice and Dolores have been friends for decades, so people wanted to know what Dolores thinks about the future of Teresa and her husband, Joe Giudice. Dolores said, “Well, here’s the thing. I’m sure he’s changed in a lot of ways. But to me, whatever is in your DNA, you are who you are. He’s an old school Italian guy, people don’t change. I am who I am, he is who he is, that’s what I mean in a good way. He will be who he is.” Will they stay together? Dolores replied, “I hope so.”
This season Dolores is overall happy with herself and her behavior. “I don’t have any regrets this season,” Dolores said. At the upcoming reunion she is excited for the whole ‘control’ situation to be discussed. She said, “I’d like to address that whole control thing at the reunion because I’m still not okay with that.” Since the RHONJ reunion was already filmed, Andy asked if it had been discussed or not because he couldn’t remember. Dolores said, “We talked about it, but I gave my analogy of when you ask a man nicely to do something – they do it. It was all about presentation I don’t know where this word control came from.” She added, “Everyone went crazy.”
Dolores is a former corrections officer but we don’t often see that side of her. Dolores said it takes a lot to get her to that point. Dolores explained Danielle even knows that people shouldn’t mess with her. Dolores explained, “It was funny because Danielle was between us like ‘Not Dolo, not Dolores, anybody but Dolores.’ She knows. Danielle is crazy enough to know that point, when she gets somebody to that point that something is going to happen. Danielle’s been around the block more than once.”
I’m loving this season of the RHONJ! I’m so excited for the reunion!
