Jeff Lewis recently announced that he and his partner, Gage Edward, split after 10 years together. They have a daughter, but she’s living with Jeff right now. Jeff may be returning to reality TV, and it’s not on his Bravo show Flipping Out. Jeff recently revealed that he met with Andy Cohen after his split, and said that Andy pitched him a new reality series! Jeff shared on his SiriusXM radio show Jeff Lewis Live, “Andrew Cohen pitched a very interesting show to me. And I really like the idea, and I actually think it’s going to work. It’s something they have to pilot and test. It would take a long time. But I felt very encouraged.”
According to People magazine, Jeff explained, “I’m going to leave it up to Andrew to figure it out, but the interesting thing is Bravo is open to having me back. It would be a Bravo show. So I didn’t burn every bridge. It would be nice to still be on Bravo. I kind of miss the Bravo club. I wouldn’t mind [going back]. I really think it would be a good show.” This comes after Jeff had a falling out with Andy and Bravo, surrounding a lot of controversy with Jeff.
Jeff was on Flipping Out for over ten years. It wrapped its eleventh season back in November, and it showed the fallout with costar/friend Jenni Pulos. Bravo has not renewed the show yet. Jeff stated in October that his contract with the network had expired and hadn’t been renewed. Andy had told Jeff that the season 11 finale, “felt like a series finale to me.” It was appropriately titled, ‘The Final Flip.’
Jeff recently announced on his radio show, “I do think Flipping Out is probably canceled.” He didn’t give any details, though. He explained, “I don’t want to get in any more trouble with them.”
Jeff and Gage went through a lot of struggles this year. Jeff’s grandmother passed away, his feud with Jenni, the uncertainty of the future of Flipping Out, and the lawsuit their surrogate (who carried their daughter) filed against them. Not only his she suing the couple, she is suing the network and the production company, Authentic Entertainment. She claims that the show filmed her vagina without permission during the baby’s delivery. She also claims and that they made “disgusting” comments about her. Sources say it will go to trial.
I have a feeling that there will be a new reality show in the works. Hmmm. I can’t wait to learn more. I hope Andy and Jeff can share details soon!
