Melissa Gorga of RHONJ took a vacation with her hubby Joe over the holiday weekend and blogged all about it on her official website. Melissa says, “Happy New Year everyone! I wish all your dreams come true in 2012!! So sorry I haven’t wrote a blog in a while, the holidays are always such a crazy time for us! It’s my favorite time of the year! We had such an amazing Christmas! It was so nice, we spent it with my family, my sister hosted such a perfect Christmas eve! Love was in the air, it was a beautiful night and as much as I love to share my life with you all I was so happy the cameras weren’t there! We ate a huge feast that we all made together, Antonia put on a dancing show, (I’ll post it) we had speciality cocktails that my sisters and I came up with ourselves, we roasted chestnuts in her fireplace, it felt very warm and peaceful to be there. We needed that!” 
Melissa adds, “We were so honored to be asked to host a NYE party in south beach! We realize that we haven’t been on TV for that long so it was flattering. Miami is insane on NYE! There was almost 2000 people at the Catalina Hotel we had the best time! We took the opportunity to make a short couples vacation out of it! We haven’t been away alone in over 3 years without the cameras! So it was much needed and it was so great to have a little alone time with Joe! Everyone should do it! You just need it! And believe me we enjoyed every minute of it! I love him!
Thank God my mother and my sisters are so supportive and watched my babies for me! They went ice skating, to the movies, to build a bear, my sister had a huge NYE party, they are so spoiled when they are with them, they are in heaven! I’m flying home today so I can spend the News Years Day with them! I miss them so much I can almost taste them! I have to take them for lentils today! As Italians we believe the more lentils you eat on New Years day the more successful your year will be! So everyone go eat your lentils! Have an amazing year!!”
Love Melissa’s last outfit (Not something I would wear but it looks good on her)! She looks stunning. Look’s like they had a fun time. I personally would rather spend New Years with the family!
