RHOSLC star Monica Garcia is clearing the air, and the confusion, surrounding her “many identities.” 

During part two of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 reunion, Monica Garcia sets the record straight about her multiple identities which includes various last names that she has gone by over the years. 

On Tuesday, during part two of the RHOSLC season 4 reunion, host Andy Cohen asked Monica Garcia if her maiden name was “Fowler.” 

The RHOSLC rookie corrected Andy, claiming that her maiden name was Darnell and that her “married name” was Fowler. 

“What’s Delgado?” Andy asked, to which Monica replied, “That’s my dad’s side.”

Monica Garcia is in the hot seat at the RHOSLC season 4 reunion.

“Garcia is my mother’s side,” she explained, when the Bravo executive producer pressed her for futhter clarification. “My mother was born, ‘Linda Darnell Susan Maria Garcia.’ When she was growing up, she was teased for being a Portagee in Boston and she was called [sic] all the time and it stuck with her. I don’t know, so when she became of legal age, she wiped her entire name off because she was ashamed of it and just kept Linda Darnell. So when I was born, I was Linda Darnell.”

Turns out Monica’s legal birth name is “Monica Linda Darnell” just like her mother but the 40-year-old confessed, “that name means nothing to me.” 

She also insists that after her divorce she wanted to use a “family name,” which is why she chose to use the last name “Garcia.” 

“I legally have only ever used three, which is the one I was born with, when I got married, and when I got divorced,” she added. 

Andy then asked why her mother, Linda, was “confused”  and commented on Monica changing her name “every f—ing week” during season 4 of RHOSLC. 

According to Monica, Linda “definitely brought” up her names “as a dig.” Monica says the shady comment came after she confided in her mom about “certain” housewives who were making “fun” of her for using “whatever the f— that I was going to use.”

“Because they were saying I was trying to make myself look more Latina to get on the show,” she added.

Lisa Barlow interjected, asking Monica who she was referring to which is when Monica accused the Vida Tequila owner of saying she “opened a book” and picked a random name to obtain the perfect moniker for reality TV fame. 

“I did not say that — you know who said that? Jen [Shah],” Lisa quipped in defense of herself.

“Jen Shah did. Jen Shah said you went by…” Lisa continued but before she could finish Monica interrupted her, asking if Lisa was “repeating what Jen Shah said” when she made the claim. 

This accusation didn’t sit well with Lisa, who screamed: “You fake f–king bitch!” 

The drama continues to play out next week during part three of the season 4 reunion. Part three is set to dive deeper into Monica’s alter ego social media account, Reality Von Tease.

Part 3 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion airs on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

I wonder what her dad is doing now? Alive? In prison? He wouldn't have known how Monica would turn out when he left. Monica's husband is doing the same thing only he is punishing 4 daughters by not having visitation (a reportedly 4 days a year means nothing and Monica will probably cancel it anyway).

It’s really sad in a lot of ways even for Monica and her mother, but the real tragedy continues as the generational damage continues. It just goes to show you history repeats itself, so make it right the first time around. ?

How many out of four will have major problems due at least in part because of their terrible role model of a mother, father that basically abandoned them and then a grandmother who isn't so great who enables their mother's irresponsible, sociopathic behavior.....The oldest should hit the dad up for out of state college. He adopted her according to one report so he must have cared at some point.

It really does break your heart, but maybe, just maybe there will be AT LEAST one among them who breaks the cycle and becomes a beacon of light for the others. Yeah, it’s Pollyanna, head in the clouds type thinking, but it does happen. So, maybe they can be the exception to the rule, somehow, some way. ?

I think the oldest daughter might be okay if she doesn't go off the deep end before she's in her mid 20's or so. The father needs to intervene and get summer visitation, and Monica needs to get fired from all bravo shows. If the oldest can go away to college with the dad paying then she's away from Monica and has a future. Later she can be there for the younger ones.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking that MAYBE the oldest one can be a mentor to her siblings. Things like that happen and happen in circumstances far mor dire than even what those kids are facing (though far more the exception than the rule). So… ?

She is the type to make sure she forgot birth control for the last two to hang on to the husband since he does have a decent income. He was foolish since he already knew she couldn't be trusted by then.

OT but I saw WWHL with Capt Sandy and Tumi from BD Mediterranean last night and Tumi (chief stew) was asked what real housewife would be a nightmare guest and she came up with Monica! Instead of asking her why, Andy seemed to defend Monica! It went something like that but the point is, Andy clearly likes Monica for whatever reasons. I bet he is all for keeping her no matter what.

Yeah, I think Andy wants her back cuz I think from his/Bravo’s perspective, she carried the entire season and deserves to be rewarded for it. Problem is, she’s shady as hell and a loose cannon. She’s got a proven and well established track record that she cannot be trusted. She’s a liability even if she was a short term asset imo. From a purely business standpoint, I can understand the temptation to have her back, but it reminds me of the old parable about the snake biting its rescuer and then saying, ‘you knew I was a snake from the beginning what did you expect?’

Yes, he wants her for that and pretends to fall for her "poor me" BS thinking he can influence others to fall for it, IMO. You are so right. If they fire her now, she'll trash bravo and may even attempt to sue for something. If they keep her, they will end up with a hostile work environment eventually and there will be lots of headaches for them, like with Brandi. Plus she will trash them when finally fired and likely sue for something or another. That parable also reminds me of the fable about a scorpion hitching a ride with a turtle in a flood and then stings him. The turtle says, "Why did you do that because now we'll both drown" and the scorpion says, "That is what I do". Or something like that. They will deserve it when she makes them regret it which may be the best story.

Yep, Monica seems like the ‘scorched earth’ type. Like she would take everyone down with her if it came to that. Maybe not, but I sure would have a difficult time trusting her in pretty much any capacity. Maybe they figure they can control her, but with the headaches Brandi has helped cause them (which is a GOOD 90% their own fault), I would think they might take a ‘once bitten, twice shy’ approach. Idk, BUT if Monica turns on Bravo, I say GO MONICA!!! Lol. Bravo brought it on themselves, so.. ???
