RHONJ star Melissa Gorga claims that she hates doing press with “little mags” and controls all of the interviews Bravo makes her do for the show!
It’s no secret that Melissa Gorga loves the spotlight and being On Display, so Bravo fans were left scratching their head when learning that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star claims she doesn’t like doing press.
In May, Melissa appeared on Mercedes Javid‘s Till the Dirt podcast, where she claimed to hate doing press so much that she put her foot down with Bravo about what press she would and won’t do.
“You know, I started to get like that with the press, even with Bravo. They know me because they don’t reach [out]. Bravo does not ask me to do press unless it’s like something legit. I’m like, don’t call me with all these little mags and this and that. I don’t wanna talk to anyone because they twist what I say. The headline is always something that I have zero desire to even discuss,” Melissa told the Shahs of Sunset alum.
“It’s always the dumbest headline I’ve ever seen. And I’m always like, I wasted my time for 20 minutes talking to that reporter for me to hate the article. It’s like, why am I doing my makeup for you?” the RHONJ star quipped.
Naturally, RHONJ fans had quite a bit to say about Melissa’s claims.
“I always said the most dangerous thing about Melissa ( & Joe) is they believe their own lies. FCs, she calls the press on herself,” one fan commented.
“This is what you say when the little mags aren’t asking for any interviews from you,” a second fan quipped.
“Who’s she kidding? She would run if the National Inquirer called,” a third fan commented, while a fourth added: “Someone’s ego is way too inflated. She believes she is way more important than she is.”
“Doesn’t she have her own paparazzi she calls? Remember the wedding photographer now paparazzi [that takes] her photos @ her house, the fuel station, & their home, etc. She misses those gigs/interviews with Teresa. She needs that [money],” a fifth fan wrote.
“Melissa is the one that calls the press. This is why she’s called Meliar,” another fan commented.
Others called Melissa a “liar” and said that she needed to “get over herself.”
