Carole Radziwill and Jill Zarin are spilling the tea and calling out their former mutual BFF Bethenny Frankel.
In an exert from Dave Quinn’s “Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives From the People Who Lived It” Carole and Jill say that Bethenny only attended Bobby Zarin’s funeral “for the show.”
“It was all for the show. Nobody was better at that than Bethenny,”said Carole. Real Housewives of New York executive producer Lisa Shannon noted that Dorinda Medley and Ramona Singer didn’t want cameras at the funeral and felt “that Bethenny was using it as an opportunity.”Jill says she felt the same way and reveals that Bethenny cut her off after the funeral.“For Bethenny, it was all about the storyline because afterward when I tried to keep a relationship with her, she wouldn’t,”Jill claimed.“She blocked my number. She wouldn’t talk to me.”Andy Cohen noted that Jill and Bethenny did spend time together without the cameras but added that the Skinnygirl mogul was “smart enough to know that it was a moment” that fans wanted to see on the show.
When it comes to Bethenny’s shocking exit from the show, Shannon said that Bethenny “wanted to be paid more” and Bravo wasn’t going to budge.
However, Andy Cohen hints that Bethenny’s exit wasn’t just about the money. The Big Daddy of Bravo revealed that Bethenny wanted something “very specific”added to her contract that “would’ve set a bad precedent.”
“There was a very specific thing Bethenny wanted in her contract that Bravo refused to give on and I knew they weren’t going to give her. And that’s why she left,”Andy confessed. “I was disappointed, but I wasn’t surprised. And I’m glad Bravo didn’t cave on the contract. It would’ve set a bad precedent.”
