Shutting down the rumor mill!
Braunwyn Windham-Burke and husband Sean Burke are denying rumors that they have been evicted from their five-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot Newport Beach rental mansion.
As we previously reported, Braunwyn and Sean are being sued for $45k in unpaid rent. Last month, the former Real Housewives of Orange County couple was informed that they were being kicked out of their rental home. They now have to vacate the property immediately. The property is currently on the market for $6.8million.
The family of nine, which includes seven kids ranging in age from 3 to 20, began renting the home in January 2020 but allegedly failed to pay three months of rent.
A rep for the family is denying the claims telling Us Weekly, “Sean and Braunwyn were surprised to find out about the unlawful detainer complaint through [the] press, as they were not personally served. After consulting with legal counsel on this matter, they are doing everything they can to resolve it.”
Rumors about the family’s living situation surfaced shortly after Braunwyn and Sean announced their plans to officially separate after months of not being together as a married couple.
Braunwyn and Sean renewed their vows after 20 years of marriage in 2020. Months later, in December 2020, Braunwyn came out as gay. At the time, she insisted that she and Sean had no plans to divorce.
“We are packing up this house, the one we filmed in last year, and we are moving,” Braunwyn said on Monday via Instagram Live. “We have decided jointly that we are going to take a few months apart.”
Sean plans on “moving into a furnished rental.”
He added, “We’re going to see what that’s like, living apart for a little while.”
RHOC is expected to return for season 16 in late 2021 or early 2022.
