Down but not out!

Bravo has canceled Kim Zolciak’s long-running family-based reality TV show after eight seasons.

Per TMZ, the TV show that follows the lives of Kim, her husband, Kroy Biermann, her daughters, Brielle and Ariana, and the rest of the family will NOT be returning for a ninth season.

A source notes that Bravo decided not to renew the show for another season because they feel the show had run its course. Don’t Be Tardy premiered in 2012 with the initial season following Kim and Kroy’s wedding planning. It was the first Real Housewives of Atlanta spinoff show. Ultimately, Kim left RHOA to do her own show with her family.

Shortly after the news of Don’t Be Tardy‘s cancellation broke on Friday, Bravo confirmed it in a statement to PEOPLE.

“We have enjoyed watching the incredible journey of Kim, Kroy, and their entire family who grew up right before our eyes,” a spokesperson for Bravo said in a statement. “We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to share their life and all the touching moments with our audience. While ‘Don’t Be Tardy…’ will not be returning for another season, the Biermanns will always be part of the Bravo family, and we look forward to seeing what’s next.”

Kim and Kroy also released their own statement on Don’t Be Tardy‘s cancellation, with Kim promising her family will be back on reality TV “very soon.”

“The Biermann family is extremely grateful for their 13 year plus relationship with Bravo and NBC Universal. We greatly appreciate and value the support from all of our fans as we continue to grow in the entertainment industry,” the statement read.

“In times of significant growth, there are steps that have to be strategically taken, but rest assured, you will see the Biermann family on you TV screens again very soon,” the reality TV couple teased. “Grab yourself a glass of wine and stay tuned.”
