The world was shocked yesterday when it was announced that NBA legend Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash alongside 8 others including his 13 year old daughter Gianna (Gigi.) Kobe was loved not only on the court but off the court as well where he was known to be a devoted family man to his four beautiful daughters and husband to his wife Vanessa. As the news was announced, tributes started to pour in, including from Bravolebs, some with surprising connections to the basketball legend.
Shannon Beador had a connection not only to Kobe, but also to another victim from the crash, as her daughters were coached by Christina Mauser. Shannon paid tribute by stating: “Christina Mauser. An incredible coach and amazing influence on all three of my daughters that played basketball in middle school. And amazing mother of 3 children. Our greatest sympathies go out to @sinatrabigband and his family. The Beador girls are devastated. Sending our prayers to the Mauser family.”
Shannon also shared a tribute to Kobe and his daughter Gigi from being connected to the LA area girl’s basketball scene due to her own daughters playing. Shannon shared the following post stating: “An amazing duo. She was an incredible basketball player and it was a privilege to watch her father coach her. My girls and our community are heartbroken.”
The OC’s Kelly Dodd shared a photo of Kobe and Jolie, stating she had met the legend multiple times over the years and was always impressed by his kindness: “Rip @kobebryant … so sad to hear the news. You and your wife @vanessabryant have always been so gracious and genuine with my family. #missyou #RIP”
