Cynthia Bailey And Husband Peter Thomas Donate Money To Find The Gunman Responsible For An Atlanta Police Officer’s Death!

Cynthia Bailey may be busy with her modeling school, The Bailey Agency, but it seems she still has time to do a good deed to help Atlanta police locate the man who shot a police officer on Saturday. It has been reported that Christopher L. Smith was gunned down while working as an off-duty security job at a local apartment complex, not far from the restaurant, Bar One Tapas, that is owned by Cynthia’s husband, Peter.

Crime Stoppers Atlanta is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the gunman’s arrest, and Cynthia and Peter have offered to double that amount. Peter is hoping that by doubling the reward, it will encourage other business owners to do the same.

Peter told Access Atlanta,

“This is a challenge to business owners, they should match my $5,00 to get this cop killer off the street.” He added, “I wouldn’t want to hear that somebody who was trying to protect us was shot,” he says. “If this person will shoot a policeman, he’ll shoot anybody.”

Peter also explained how this particular shooting reminded him of a similar incident that happened near his business in 2009, where a bartender was murdered at The Standard, and there was a reward of $50,000 that led to an arrest.

I think that is very kind of Peter and Cynthia to be helping out in this unfortunate situation. I’m sure the officer’s family is grateful for the couples’ generosity. Thoughts on their donation? Do you think other business owners should do the same?
