Wetpaint Entertainment: Now that you’ve had time away from it, are you happy with your decision to leave the show?
Peggy Tanous: Yes, I am happy with my decision to leave the show. I think this was the best decision for me and my family. I didn’t want to get pigeon holed as a “Housewife” and am excited to be focusing on my hosting and other positive show opportunities!
Do you have any relationship with Alexis? Do you ever see, speak to, or hear from her?
No, I have not seen or spoken to Alexis since filming Vicki’s party in September. We are different people with different priorities, but I wish her well.
Did leaving the show help alleviate your anxiety?
I think leaving the show did alleviate a lot of my anxiety and prevent even stronger anxiety if I continued on with Season 7.
Do you speak to or see any of the other girls? Who are you still close to?
I haven’t seen any of the current cast members since Vicki’s party, but I still talk to Tamra and consider her a good friend.
Do you regret doing the show in the first place?
Not at all. I’m so happy I did the show and so thankful for the opportunity and experience! It gave me a huge platform, opened doors in a lot of areas, was a lot of fun, and a great learning experience! Not to mention it got me back to doing the work I love and missed while taking time off to have my baby girls.
I think it’s great that Peggy didn’t stay on the showing. Most housewives are so addicted to the fame that no matter what happens, they’ll continue to be on the show. Peggy wasn’t happy so she got off. Good for her. Team Peggy or team Alexis?
