The Real Housewives of Potomac returns with a new season on Sunday, October 6. Check out the dramatic and explosive season 9 trailer.
Wendy Osefo, Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, and Mia Thornton are all back for season 9 of the Real Housewives of Potomac. The longtime Potomac Housewives will be joined by new Housewives, Stacey Rusch and Keiarna Stewart.
Jacqueline Blake is also back in the mix as a friend of the Housewives, alongside new addition, Jassi Rideaux.
New dynamics are forming within the Real Housewives of Potomac cast amid the departures of longtime cast members Robyn Dixon, Candiace Dillard, and Nneka Ihim, all of whom left the series following season 8.
One of the most shocking revelations from the RHOP season 9 trailer includes the new bond between former enemies Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo.
“I love where we are,” Gizelle tells Wendy.
“We have come a long way,” Wendy says in agreement. “We were in hell! This is a symbol of how I want my 40th to be. Loving those who love on you. No hard feelings.”
While Wendy and Gizelle are forming a new friendship, Wendy has a fallout with Karen Huger after the Grande Dame calls the professor and political commentator “self-absorbed” behind her back.
“I have always held you down, off and on-camera,” Wendy says. “I wouldn’t have expected that from you.”
Karen’s friendship with Mia Thornton also seems to have crumbled. Mia calls Karen a “bitter old bitch,” before throwing shade at the Grande Dame’s DUI car crash.
“Is it Potomac to be a drunk [and] crash your car into trees?” Mia quips.
Speaking of Karen’s March car crash in which she was charged with DUI and DWI, the Real Housewives of Potomac cast is torn on how to support the Grande Dame followng the incident.
“I could have died,” Karen recalls before Ashley Darby points out, “or, taken the life of someone else.”
Gizelle offers Karen support and shows up in support. She even gathers the girls in a prayer circle, saying, “Lord, in the name of Jesus, wrap your arms around Karen.”
And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come throughout season 9.
