The ladies of RHOSLC are back for another season of sugar and spice! Get all the details on season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
The RHOSLC cast is proving that they don’t need Jen Shah or Monica Garcia to stir the pot.
The new season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres on Wednesday, September 18th, with a few new cast members and some very familiar faces to bring the drama! And from the looks of the season 5 trailer – they totally delivered!
Veteran Salt Lake City Housewives Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, and Angie Katsanevas are all back for season 5. OG Mary Cosby is also back and has been upgraded back to a full-time Housewife.
Also joining the group is new Housewife Bronwyn Newport, who, according to Bravo’s press release, arrives on the RHOSLC scene wearing “couture with her over-the-top fashion and a sense of humor as sharp as the diamonds she wears.”
While Bronwyn “makes a splash with the ladies with her outrageous, fabulous, and confrontational style,” OG Heather Gay isn’t on board with the newbie.
“Bronwyn is not here to make friends, and I don’t trust her,” Heather says in the trailer before confronting Bronwyn for telling the ladies in the group “a different story.”
Also in the mix will be two new friends of Housewives: Britani Bateman and Meili Workman.
Britani is “a Utah native, practicing Mormon, real estate developer, actress, and accoladed singer in an on-again, off-again relationship” and reportedly “bumps heads with a few of the ladies from the jump.”
Melli, on the other hand, is a mother of four who was “raised LDS and moved to Utah to be more involved in the church, but ultimately decided that the faith was not for her.“
While the RHOSLC cast may no longer have Monica Garcia or Jen Shah around to stir the pot, that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of drama to come this season.
This season, there’s significant conflict between Angie and Lisa over their different parenting style.
“She’s talking about my parenting?” Lisa tells Heather about Angie in the trailer. “I’m a great mom. That’s a low blow.”
“I don’t think you’ve been a good friend to me lately,” Lisa tells Angie, who claps back, “You’ve been a f—ing bitch to me!”
Lisa also finds herself at odds with Whitney Rose yet again.
“I have built everything I have,” the Vida Tequila owner says before Whitney cuts her off, adding, “on the backs of other people.”
“Get that f—ing wig off your head,” Lisa shouts at Whitney, who is dressed up as Lisa for an 8 Lisas-themed lunch. “You will never be me!”
Meanwhile, Mary Cosby and Meredith Marks also appear to be at odds.
In one scene, Mary tells Meredith, “You’re not always the victim.” To which Meredith responds, “Yeah, you used me for three years; I got the memo.”
The tension between the former friends builds at one dinner when Meredith gets tossed out of Mary’s house.
“You’re a sneaky little snarky little something,” Mary screams. “Get out of my house!”
“You are the biggest liar in Utah, you big fake,” she continues.
Heather also attacks her castmates, saying, “Never in a million years, after everything we’ve been through, did I think that you would reach out to our sworn enemy.”
However, the reasoning behind Heahter’s outburst is yet to be revealed.
Meredith also accuses one of her co-stars of recording their conversations.
“You’re recording us?” Meredith asks. “I am disgusted!”
“I don’t think she has a recording device on her,” Heather adds. “I’ve watched a lot of television.”
Season 5 of RHOSLC premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
