Kyle Richards admits things are “not good” with Dorit Kemsley as they film season 14 of RHOBH.
“The dynamics have shifted tremendously this year,” Kyle Richards told Us Weekly.
The RHOBH OG believes that she and Dorit “should be” supporting each other as they both undergo similar situations in their marriages. However, Kyle quickly notes that’s not the case.
“Unfortunately, that’s not where we’re at right now in our relationship,” she said. “We’re both going through different but similar situations. So, it is unfortunate that we’re in this position.”
As fans know, Kyle and Dorit’s relationship is currently fractured following some drama in their friendship last season. The last time fans saw the besties together at the season 13 reunion, they were on the outs.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills executive producer Alex Baskin teased in early June that Dorit and Kyle are hashing out all their issues on camera for season 14, and he believes their friendship will eventually recover.
“There is a lot of water under the bridge, so I would say they’re figuring out what’s going on with them personally, but they both have very strong feelings. They have let each other know what they think out of the gate,” Alex told The Hollywood Reporter.
While things are “not great” with Dorit, Kyle Richards said that the new women in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast — Jennifer Tilly and Bozoma Saint John — have created “a very interesting group” dynamic.
“We’re just sort of starting out. Like I said, the dynamics have shifted, but they’re constantly shifting and changing. So, we’ll see where we end up.”
In May, Bravo announced that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, and Sutton Stracke will all return for season 14.
The network also confirmed that Bozoma Saint John would be the newest Housewife on the Beverly Hills block.
In addition, Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly will round out the season 14 cast as friends of The Housewives.
