Rumors about Vanderpump Rules alums Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s marriage have been swirling long before their recent separation.
During Tuesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay, and Kristina Kelly speculated about Jax Taylor and Brittnay Cartwright’s marriage.
The women of Vanderpump Rules questioned Jax Taylor’s loyalty to Brittany Cartwright. The former Vanderpump Rules couple is currently separated but still married.
The gossip came up as the reality stars discussed why co-star Ariana Madix stayed in an unhappy relationship with Tom Sandoval for so long – only splitting with him after he was caught cheating with Raquel Leviss.
“You don’t really know until you’re in it. You can’t judge because you don’t know,” Scheana Shay noted. “Look at Jax and Brittany! They were married and had a baby! I could not believe that when they did.”
“There’s still stories about him running around town,” Katie Maloney pointed out.
Both Scheana and Lala confirmed that they have also “heard” stories about Jax’s infidelity.
“It’s beyond,” Lala Kent added.
Jax’s infidelity is quite familiar to Vanderpump Rules fans. Not only did Jax cheat on his ex-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder, he also cheated on Brittany with co-star Faith Stowers in 2017 causing a brief split in their relationship.
After enduring a rocky fall and summer of 2017, the former SUR couple were officially back together by December.
Jax proposed in June 2018, and the couple said ‘I do’ a little more than a year later, in 2019.
They welcomed their son, Cruz, in April 2021.
Brittany and Jax’s marital issues will be the focus of season one of The Valley, which premieres on March 19.
Filming for The Valley has resumed since Brittany announced her and Jax’s separation on the February 29 episode of their podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany.
“Yes, marriages in general are very hard, and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” the Kentucky native said in the episode.
“Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
The 35-year-old didn’t reveal what led to the split, noting that she “won’t get into too many details because this is still very hard to talk about.”
“I’m taking things one day at a time,” she added. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”
