Bravolebs are coming to Andy Cohen’s defense as his rep shuts down Leah McSweeney’s allegation he snorts cocaine with Real Housewives.
On Tuesday, Real Housewives of New York alum Leah McSweeney filed a bombshell lawsuit against Andy Cohen, Bravo, and Shed Media in the Southern District of New York, claiming that they intentionally preyed on her alcohol addiction so they could hit a rating jackpot.
In the filing, Leah also alleged that Bravo’s figurehead, Andy Cohen, snorts cocaine with his favorite Real Housewives.
“Cohen intentionally uses cocaine with his employees to further promote a workplace culture that thrives off drug and alcohol use, which leads to a failure to accommodate employees who are disabled and trying to stay substance-free,” the court filing alleges.
The former Bravo star also claims that another senior producer “routinely sends unsolicited pictures of [their] genitalia to lower-level… production employees” and alleges that Shed Media and Bravo “know or should know about [the producer’s] sexual harassment, [they] continue to elevate [the producer] to positions of increased power.”
Andy Cohen‘s rep has denied the allegations against him, telling Page Six: “The claims against Andy are completely false.”
Now, several Bravo stars – former and current, are coming to Andy Cohen’s defense amid these shocking allegations.
“I’ve done WWHL about a dozen times, and I must admit I’m jealous I was never offered anything stronger than a good wholesome time,” Shahs of Sunset alum Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi wrote on Page Six‘s Instagram.
Real Housewives of Dubai star Chanel Ayan responded to GG’s comment: “It’s wild, to be honest. It’s like leave him alone .”
In a separate comment, the 45-year-old added, “We are in a place where you can’t trust to be friends with anyone coz they be snitching on you even when it’s not reality or truth .”
Meanwhile, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, and Cynthia Bailey also came to Andy’s defense while talking with TMZ.
Luann, who has been to rehab multiple times, says she was never pressured to drink on RHONY and doesn’t think anyone can make someone drink. She notes that personal responsibility is a key factor in sobriety and recovery.
As for Leah’s cocaine allegation against Andy Cohen, Lu says she’s never heard or seen it, adding that it doesn’t seem like something in Andy’s character.
Dorinda agrees, noting that she feels for Andy and questions why Leah returned for a second season of RHONY and appeared on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip if she felt pressured and uncomfortable.
She adds that she’d jump at the chance to return to Real Housewives because of all the opportunities it brought her. The 59-year-old also believes people need to be responsible for their own actions.
While former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey has compassion for addicts, she also believes that people with substance abuse issues need to make smart choices and decide not to put themselves in situations if they know they don’t have the willpower to turn down a drink.
