Could Phaedra Parks Be Returning to Housewives? The RHOA Alum Says…

Phaedra Parks may be making her return to RHOA following Kandi Burruss’ recent exit and Bravo’s plans to revamp the franchise for season 16.

A very familiar face may be returning to the fold for season 16 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Phaedra Parks is addressing rumors that she could be reclaiming her peach and returning to RHOA for season 16.

The Bravoleb spoke with GQ to discuss the possibility of her joining Bravo’s revamp of RHOA.

Phaedra said:

“That’s the discussion that’s on the table right now. Obviously what has to happen is something to rejuvenate the cast. We saw with New York, people are loving that. And we’ve seen it with Miami going on haitus and coming back. I think Atlanta has the chance to rebuild the stellar reputation it had when I was a part of it. Because it was the Titanic and it sunk. Pull them back up. Never say never. There’s been some discussions about me returning. We’ll see.”

Phaedra joined the RHOA cast during season 3 in 2010. She starred on RHOA for 7 seasons before exiting the franchise following season 9 in 2017. The attorney and Atlanta businesswomen left RHOA on bad terms after insinuating that co-star Kandi Burruss allegedly tried to date rape co-star Porsha Williams during a night of partying. The claim was completely false and soured Phaedra’s relationships with both Kandi and Porsha.

Since exiting RHOA Phaedra has appeared on numerous Bravo shows including Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Phaedra starred on seasons 2 and 4 of RHUGT. She also appeared on season one of the Real Housewives of Dubai. In 2023, Phaedra joined the season 10 cast of Married to Medicine. The 50-year-old also starred on season 2 of Peacock’s The Traitors.

This statement comes a week after Andy Cohen opened up about Kandi Burruss’ exit from RHOA after 14 seasons while also teasing the future of the Atlanta Housewives franchise.

On the Tuesday, February 6 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, host Andy Cohen discussed the future of the Real Housewives of Atlanta following Kandi Burruss’ exit.

“I talked a lot about Kandi yesterday and I think Kandi’s leaving “Housewives of Atlanta” is now having everyone saying, “Well, what is happening with ‘Housewives of Atlanta?’ Why aren’t we getting an update? What’s going on?” and so, and I didn’t want to talk about it,” Andy said.

While Andy’s co-hosts were dying to know if any former Real Housewives of Atlanta stars were returning to the fold for season 16, the Real Housewives executive producer wasn’t naming names at this point in time.

“Well, I do want to say I’m not announcing anything, but we are on it and the casting is superb and it’s funny because I saw casting last week and last week I was thinking, ‘Okay, this is gonna be great. We have a sense,’” Andy explained.

He continued, “And by the way, now that we know Kandi is leaving, that also allows us to put other puzzle pieces together and figure out, ‘Okay, well, you know, where do we go here?’ and she’s a big loss, but I think, you know, it allows us to figure out the future and I guess this is me just saying I’m very excited about the casting that we have. Very.”

Rumors have been swirling that Kenya Moore will be returning for season 16 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Sources also claim that because of Kandi’s exit from the Atlanta Housewives franchise, “the door could be open” for Phaedra Parks‘ return to the show for season 16.

However, Radar Online reports that “No one has signed a contract for Season 16” and “no one is locked in” for Season 16, with an insider noting that contracts have been sent out but have not been signed, sealed, or delivered yet.

On Tuesday, February 13, Bravo announced that Porsha Williams would be returning for season 16.

Stay tuned for more on this developing story.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to return for season 16 in 2024.
