Alexis Bellino is shutting down reports that she has signed on as a full-time Housewife and will begin filming for season 18 of RHOC in mid-January.
Real Housewives of Orange County alum Alexis Bellino denies reports that she is returning to the franchise for season 18 amid her ongoing romance with Shannon Beador‘s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen.
Recently, popular pop-culture Instagram account, Cici.Loves.You reported:
“Alexis and John will be filming [in the] middle of January. 100% not a friend role and 100% full[time] Housewife role. Anon please. No name, no pic please.”
The 47-year-old caught wind of the report and commented on @therealhousewiveszone Instagram account that the gossip was untrue.
Alexis commented:
“THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!”
As Real Housewives of Orange County fans know, Alexis starred in seasons 5 through 8 of the OC Housewives franchise from 2009 until 2013.
After AllAboutTRH broke the news that Alexis and John were officially dating in December fans began to speculate if the RHOC alum was in talks to return for season 18.
Around this same time, Vicki Gunvalson revealed that she thinks Alexis and John’s relationship is “gross” and wondered if Alexis was dating John in an attempt to secure a spot on season 18 of RHOC.
“It also reeks of desperation to return to the show as she probably is hoping this will stir the pot and secure her spot,” the RHOC OG spilled to Celebuzz. “It makes one question why John would want to date another Housewife. Is he also fame-hungry and wanting to remain on TV? We all know the answer!”
At BravoCon, in November 2023, Alexis teased that she was open to returning to RHOC.
The OG of the OC also admitted that seeing John and Alexis’ relationship play out in the media hasn’t been easy for Shannon Beador.
“Either way, it’s truly hard to see the public photos all over the internet,” Vicki said. “If he has any ounce of class, he should quietly date her and stop with all the public humiliation. I will gladly be by Shannon’s side to defend her and support her through this in any way I can.”
Speaking of Shannon, Radar Online previously reported that she won’t exit RHOC if Alexis does sign on for season 18.
As for why Shannon Beador won’t be sweating Alexis’ potential return to the Real Housewives of Orange County, the insider says it is because she has so many allies on the show to lean on and have her back.
“I think she has enough allies on that show,” one insider said in late 2023. “Especially if they bring Vicki (Gunvalson) back.”
Filming for season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County is expected to begin in January or February 2024.
RHOC will return for season 18 in 2024.
