Andy Cohen reveals that he is “very disappointed” in RHONJ star Jennifer Aydin over body-shaming incident with a fan at BravoCon.
The Big Daddy of Bravo isn’t happy with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin after she body-shamed a fan at BravoCon, who shaded her for being up Teresa Giudice’s butt.
“Has Jennifer apologized or anything?” Andy Cohen asked on his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live.
Andy’s co-host confirmed that Jennifer didn’t apologize. He then explained that instead of apologizing, the RHONJ star doubled down on her comments from BravoCon.
“No! No! Oh, this is very disappointing,” Andy admitted. “I don’t like this. I don’t like this … That’s a fan that paid to be there.”
He added, “Come on, Jenn. Don’t double down.”
However, Andy did acknowledge that the fan’s comment wasn’t “nice” either.
“The way they asked the question, ‘Why are you so far up Teresa’s a–,’ it’s not nice … But it doesn’t deserve making fun of someone’s size. They’re not saying, ‘You’re a horrible person.’ That’s nothing worse than I’ve ever asked,” he continued.
During part two of the Real Housewives of New Jersey panel at BravoCon, Jennifer clapped back at a shady fan who asked her: “Do you think you could crawl any further up Teresa Giudice’s ass?”
The 46-year-old jumped up and schooled the RHONJ fan on what it means to have “good friends” while repeatedly referring to the woman dressed in a baseball cap and oversized sweatshirt as “big boy.”
Despite receiving heat and backlash from RHONJ fans on social media, Jennifer stood behind her behavior.
On Twitter, the RHONJ star explained:
“My daughters would never start with something rude, and if they did, [they] would deserve a response- & they know that. You can’t be rude to someone and then be shocked when they say something rude back. Actions have consequences.”
“Disappointed that they said something so rude and that they deserved it. That’s exactly how I feel. Bad behavior has repercussions. So Live and learn and just Be Nice!”
The mom of five went on to say, “I took time away from my precious family to go to Vegas so I can be with all the amazing fans-to hug, engage & encourage them -to spread love, not hate. So, I won’t take negativity from anyone w/out giving it back. Don’t come 4 me unless you wanna come back from me.”
