Kroy Biermann’s lawyer denied Kim Zolciak’s claim that they are “working” on their marriage after the RHOA OG announced the news on Instagram.
“I spoke with Kroy regarding the ‘reconciliation’ Kim announced over the weekend,” the former NFL star’s attorney, Marlys A. Bergstrom, told Us Weekly on Monday.
“There is no reconciliation. His resolve to see this divorce through to the end has not waivered,” Bergstrom continued.
However, a source recently told the outlet that Kim and Kroy are “all over the place” and said their marriage is a “yo-yo that never seems to end.”
This clarification from Kroy’s lawyer comes just days after Kim Zolciak publicly claimed that she and Kroy have “been working on our marriage and have been living as husband and wife.”
On September 8, Kim insisted that she wasn’t moving anywhere and that she and Kroy were in a better place.
“I’m living here [and] not going anywhere! Been working on our marriage and have been living as husband and wife,” Kim shared on Instagram.
Kim and Kroy made headlines back in May when they each filed for divorce after a decade of marriage. Their split quickly turned ugly, with Kroy requesting Kim undergo a mental evaluation while Kim demanded that Kroy be drug tested.
The divorce drama went on for two months before Kim and Kroy filed paperwork to dismiss their divorce in July.
“It was actually more shocking when they initially filed because they never saw any problems in their marriage,” the insider shared. “They believed Kim and Kroy had an amazing marriage and would be together forever. They’re thrilled that they’ve decided to work on things. Everybody sees that Kim and Kroy have an incredible bond, and they’re confident they’ll spend the rest of their lives together.”
A month later, Kroy filed for divorce again. In his August filing, Kroy requested sole legal and sole physical custody of his and Kim’s four minor children in addition to alimony, child support, and exclusive use of their marital home.
In August, Kroy filed paperwork to sell their Georgia mansion, with the proceeds being placed in escrow.
The RHOA alums tied the knot in 2011. They share children: Kroy Jr. “KJ,” 12, Kash, 11; and twins Kaia and Kane, 9. Kroy also adopted Kim’s children, Brielle Biermann, 26, and Ariana Biermann, 21, from previous relationships.
RHOA is expected to return for season 16 in 2024.
