Kathy Hilton rhobh officially confirms that she is NOT returning to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 13.
On June 5, the socialite told E! News:
“No, I’m doing Paris in Love, but I know it’s going to be great. It’s always interesting and fun and lots of drama.”
Kathy Hilton’s departure from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills comes two years after she joined the franchise as a “friend of” the Housewives during season 11.
The 64-year-old quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her sense of humor and silly behavior. No one will ever forget Kathy’s iconic “Hunky Dory” line.
Initially, Kathy’s time on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was all fun and games, but the tides turned during season 12. While filming season 12 of RHOBH, Lisa Rinna accused Kathy Hilton of having a meltdown during the cast trip to Aspen, Colorado. During the meltdown, Kathy allegedly badmouthed the entire RHOBH cast, including her sister, Kyle Richards. This drama caused a major rift between Kathy and Kyle, who have been estranged ever since the RHOBH season 12 reunion in October 2022.
Last month, Kathy and Kyle reunited at their niece Whitney Davis’ bridal shower. Kathy believes the interaction “went well” and adds that she’s hopeful that she and Kyle can work through their issues.
“I felt it went well,” Kathy admitted before adding that she hopes to mend fences with Kyle very soon. “I’d like to.”
On June 1st, Kyle opened up to E! News about her and Kathy’s strained relationship.
“Things are obviously not great, I think most people know that,” she explained. “But we’re family; we’re blood. We’ll always come back together.”
However, she, like Kathy, is hopeful that they will eventually work out their issues and repair their sisterly relationship.
“It’s my niece’s special day, and she’s going to be getting married,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG continued, “and we’re all going to be together there. We’ll be, of course, civil and nice and, hopefully, one day, be back to normal again.”
Meanwhile, Sutton Stacke admits that Kathy Hilton was “missed” while filming season 13 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“Was Kathy missed on the show? Yes,” Sutton told Page Six on Sunday.
“But is there a void on the show because Kathy’s not there? No. There’s still comical moments,” she continued. “It’s still a great show … but I missed Kathy.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 13 in late 2023.
