RHOA Recap: A Star is Re-Born

Drama is the theme of this week’s ALL-NEW episode of RHOA Recap.

On Sunday’s episode of RHOA Recap, our favorite Bravo peaches are hashing out the drama from BravoCon. Who would have ever thought BravoCon would become a place where so much drama would go down?!

Let’s dive into the drama!

Mama Joyce Is Still Saying Unkind Things About Todd Tucker

Shereé Whitfield invites Marlo Hampton and Sanya Richards-Ross over to Chateau Sheree to talk about all the drama that happened at BravoCon.

Naturally, the ladies discuss Mama Joyce bashing Kandi Burruss‘ husband, Todd Tucker, at BravoCon. It seems that even after all these years, Mama Joyce still doesn’t like Todd. Todd seems to be a good guy – a hard worker, loyal husband, and hands-on father – what more could Mama Joyce want for Kandi?!

During a panel at BravoCon, Mama Joyce was asked by Andy Cohen to say three nice things about Todd. Of course, she couldn’t do that and went after Todd’s height, saying, “He’s still short.” Well, seems like Kandi loves a short King, so what’s Mama Joyce’s beef?

Sheree, Marlo, and Sanya then discuss Sanya’s BravoCon drama with Drew Sidora.

At BravoCon, Drew asked Sanya:

“Did I give you a hard time, or did you come looking for a hard time?”

Of course, Sanya is confused since she and Drew made up following the season 14 reunion and vowed to start fresh, but then Drew decided to come for her at BravoCon.

Meanwhile, Sheree tells the ladies that she confronted Kenya Moore about coming for her man, Martell Holt, at Sanya’s Harlem Nights-themed party. Sheree explains that she told Kenya that Martell felt ambushed and made it known that her friends need to respect Martell because he is a good man.

Marlo admits she didn’t have high hopes for Martell when Sheree first started seeing him but notes she is happy to see that he’s stepped up and is being an actual boyfriend and partner to Sheree.

Speaking of relationships, Drew and her hubby Ralph Pittman head to do some rock climbing in hopes of working on their relationship.

Drew admits that things between her and Ralph are still a “little rocky,” but she is hoping this date night will help them reconnect. Clearly, Drew and Ralph are still struggling from their marriage woes last season. While Drew says she and Ralph are in a better place, we now know that doesn’t last long as Drew filed for divorce in March 2023, claiming that Ralph is a “serial cheater.”

In her divorce petition, Drew noted that “there is no chance or hope of reconciliation.” It will be interesting to see the demise of Drew and Ralph’s marriage play out this season. While no one wants to see a marriage fail, I have a suspicion it’s going to be the most interesting part of this season of RHOA.

Drew Sidora Prepares to Perform Alongside RHOP’s Candiace Dillard-Bassett

Staying on the subject of Drew, the budding songstress prepares to perform with Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard at City Winery in Atlanta.

Naturally, Drew is excited yet nervous about the live performance. During last week’s episode, RHOA fans learned that Drew was working on an EP after deciding to lean into her musical abilities. Drew is hoping to “build her confidence” and “step up her game” by finally going after musical ambitions.

Drew is excited for her fans to see her as a singer but notes that so many people have always been supportive of her musical ambitions because they only see her as an actress.

She notes: “Nothing is going to stop me from achieving my dreams.”

If you’re wondering where’s the drama – hold on – it’s coming. Promise.

After Drew’s performance at City Winery with Candiace, Drew chats with Marlo and a friend of the Housewives, Courtney Rhodes. Drew and Marlo get into a major beef over Drew not saying the word “shooting” when referencing the “incident,” aka “shooting,” that went down at Kandi’s restaurant, Blaze Steak & Seafood. If you remember, Kandi’s cousin, Melvin Jones, was shot in the arm by a fellow employee following an altercation.

In a previous episode, Kandi and Todd made it clear that they didn’t want to discuss the shooting on cameras as there was still an ongoing investigation into the incident.

Marlo took issue with Kandi trying to control the narrative around the shooting by calling it an “incident,” and Drew got into the crossfire because she wouldn’t say the word shooting.

RHOA airs on Sundays at 8 pm on Bravo.
