RHOBH stars Dorit Kemsley and Erika Jayne have mended their friendship after it hit a rough patch at BravoCon 2022.
If you remember, Erika told the crowd at BravoCon that Dorit and her husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley, would be the next Real Housewives couple to split. While Erika later insisted her comment was a joke, many, including Dorit and PK, were stunned as to why she would go after Dorit and PK‘s marriage, considering her longstanding friendship with them.
At the time, Dorit clapped back at Erika’s diss, saying, “Misery loves company. What else can I say? Our friends, those that truly know us, know what we have and who we are.”
PK took his response a step further by going after the drama and legal woes affecting Erika’s life, including her estranged husband, Tom Girardi’s alleged crimes, and her diamond earring scandal.
“Erika Jayne thought her husband was innocent. She thought the ankle is more important than the brain. She thought she should keep the earrings. Now she thinks Dorit and I are the next to split up…here’s a quick bit of management advice…stop thinking,” PK quipped.
As for Erika, she replied that the comment was nothing more than a joke, telling everyone to stop being so sensitive.
Now, nearly six months later, Dorit reveals that she has forgiven Erika for the shade towards her and PK’s marriage.
“Obviously, neither PK or I were happy with what Erika said at BravoCon,” Dorit admitted to Page Six over the weekend.
“You have to look at things in isolation and accept that we’ve also had a friendship for seven years,” she explained, noting that the Pretty Mess singer was “apologetic.”
“You know, we went through it. You’ll see that,” she continued, adding that fans will see their drama play out during season 13 of RHOBH. “I can’t tell you too much, but we’ve obviously come to the other side.”
When it comes to her marriage to PK, Dorit says they are doing better than ever.
“Particularly in the town that we’re in, it’s really important in marriage … to maintain [communication, transparency, trust, and honesty], to keep those things close to your heart and make sure that you both stick to it,” she said. “Laughing and having fun together is, for us anyway, definitely one of the things that keeps us together and close.”
RHOBH is expected to return for season 13 in late 2023 or early 2024.
