Just when you think the details surrounding the Scandoval couldn’t get any crazier – it does! Pump Rules star Tom Schwartz appeared on Wednesday’s episode of WWHL where he dropped some bombs about Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss‘ affair.
To start, Schwartz reveals that he learned about Sandoval and Raquel’s affair in August 2022. He is quick to clarify that at the time Sandoval and Raquel told him it was nothing more than a “one-night stand.”
“I learned in late August about the affair,” Schwartz told WWHL host Andy Cohen.
“Then it became — from my point of view — an emotional affair … But I didn’t think it was a linear thing,” the 40-year-old said, adding that he was unaware that Sandoval and Raquel’s affair was “steadily progressing” during the fall.
Then in January 2023, Schwartz says that Sandoval admitted he was “in love with Raquel.”
“I was flabbergasted but not surprised because, I think, there’s a lot of people out there who kind of knew it was an open secret,” Schwartz admitted.
He explained that from January to March Sandoval became “flagrant” and “brazen” about his affair with Raquel which is when Ariana Madix found out.
As for why Schwartz didn’t tell Ariana about Sandoval’s affair, he insists that his best friend was “placating” him and saying that he was going to break up with his girlfriend of nine years.
“I’m being fed a narrative that he has broken up with Ariana or attempted to many many times — that he’s not happy, they’re not healthy, they’re not intimate, blah blah,” Schwartz claimed. “All of that’s inconsequential now in light of the way he handled it.”
If all of that weren’t enough, Schwartz also claimed on WWHL that Sandoval is “addicted” to Raquel.
“Raquel is Tom’s heroin,” Schwartz said, noting that because of Sandoval’s ADHD he “became obsessed” with Raquel.
“He’s addicted,” the Pump Rules star added. “It’s an infatuation of infatuations.”
Schwartz quickly clarified that he’s not trying to “minimize” or “disrespect” people struggling with addiction but noted that Sandoval got “lost in the sauce” this past year and is still struggling to find his way.
To conclude, Schwartz told Bravo fans, “If you see him, maybe give him a hug even if he doesn’t deserve it. Give him a hug. He’s down bad.”
The Schwartz and Sandys co-owner’s appearance on WWHL ruffled some feathers including those of his ex-wife Katie Maloney.
“You’re the only that wants to hug him dude. READ THE ROOM!!!” Katie tweeted on Wednesday night.
She added: “I was called a monster too many times to count… tonight’s #wwhl didn’t phase me. Sadly.”
