There’s still bad blood brewing between Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton following their fallout while filming season 12 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
According to PEOPLE, the sisters and costars are “still not speaking” since they battled it out at the season 12 reunion in October 2022.
“Nothing has really changed since the reunion. They’re still not speaking. Nobody has made an effort to sit down and patch things up,” the source explained. “Kyle is busy focusing on herself right now, and Kathy is doing the same. But they’re family, and each of them are supportive of the other and always will be.”
While Kyle and Kathy posed for a photo at Elton John’s 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in Los Angeles on Sunday, the two sat at different tables and did not interact at all after smiling for the cameras together.
Kyle sat with RHOBH costars Dorit Kemsley and Crystal Minkoff, as well as former Beverly Hills Housewives Lisa Rinna and Diana Jenkins.
Speaking of RHOBH, it’s unclear if Kathy will sign on to film for season 13, which is currently in production. Kathy joined RHOBH as a friend of the Housewives during season 11 and quickly became a fan favorite on the show. However, a source reveals that Kathy has yet to decide if she will do another season.
“Kyle is waiting like everyone else to see if she ends up doing the show,” the source added.
In December, both Kyle and Kathy opened up about the status of their relationship while attending the People’s Choice Awards.
“I have not talked to [Kyle] in a while,” the 64-year-old told Access Hollywood. “We’ve texted, but I have not talked to her for a while.”
Meanwhile, Kyle told Extra: “We could be better, but we are sisters, and at the end of the day, we always come together, but we could be better, and that’s what I want, that’s what I need in my life — to feel good.”
As we previously reported, Kyle admits that she has not met her niece Paris Hilton’s son amid her ongoing tension with the heiress’ mom.
The tension between Kyle and Kathy stems from the drama that took place during the season 12 cast trip to Aspen, CO. The drama, which mostly occurred off camera, seemed to start when Lisa Rinna decided to drink Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila over Casa Del Sol tequila, which the Hilton family are investors in. Kathy felt snubbed and got angry at Kyle for not defending her.
Later on that night, the ladies headed to the Caribou Club, where Kathy began to unravel, accoridng to reports. Rinna decided to take Kathy home, which is when she had a huge meltdown.
“We get in the sprinter van, and Kathy starts screaming about everything, and she’d say things like, ‘I’m gonna take down NBC, Bravo, I will take down the show single-handedly. I will f—ing ruin you all!'” Rinna explained at the time.
Rinna continued, “She takes her glasses off, she throws them on the ground, she’s jumping up and down, breaking her glasses, she’s pounding the walls, and she’s screaming she ‘made’ Kyle… Kathy’s responsible for Kyle, and she said, ‘I will destroy Kyle and her family if it’s the last thing I ever do.'”
The drama was then rehashed at the season 12 reunion. Kathy and Kyle’s sitdown ended in tears, and with their relationship on rocky ground.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return for season 13 in mid-to-late 2023.
