Hmm…funny how fast some people like Melissa Gorga can change their tune after getting a little backlash!
All of a sudden, Melissa Gorga wants to peacefully coexist with Teresa Giudice and work together to mend their family after spending the last year bashing the Real Housewives of New Jersey OG and her family.
In the last few episodes of RHONJ, Melissa has done nothing but go after her sister-in-law, her nieces, and Louie Ruelas.
After seeing her nieces, Gabriella Giudice and Gia Giudice, for the first time in six months at Teresa and Louie’s housewarming party, Melissa declared her nieces have “hate” in their hearts for her.
“It’s just sad because I truly love the girls deep down inside, and I know they have hate for us,” Melissa said in her confessional. “I know they do. It’s terrible. I wouldn’t wish this on anybody.”
Then on this week’s episode of RHONJ, Melissa insisted that Teresa hates both her and Joe Gorga.
“She can’t stand f–king Margaret, she can’t stand me, and she can’t stand him, and that’s a fact, and that’s why I’m not rolling with the whole fake f–king parade that’s been happening,” Melissa quipped. She went on to call Louie “very manipulating.”
“Listen, I see Luis for what he is,” the 43-year-old said in her confessional. “He’s charming, but he’s also very manipulating.”
Yet, now in a new interview with Extra, Melissa just wants peace with Teresa and her family.
“Of course, I’m happy for her. I want her to be so happy. I want the girls to be happy they’re in this new stage of life with a new man. And sometimes it’s just toxic, and it’s like, at what point do you say, okay, I’m done with the back and forth. I just wanna make it better at this point. I wanna be able to be in the same room. I wanna be able to, you know, say hello, have my kids feel comfortable without all of the toxic hate,” Melissa claims.
She continues, “Are we there right now? No, but I would love to get there.”
“It takes two, right? I can’t just want that for myself. I just, I don’t wanna fight anymore. There’s so much going on in the world. We’re not getting any younger. We don’t need to be best friends. I don’t wanna go to lunch by any means. I don’t wanna do any of that – yet. I realize that we’re not there. But as I said on the first episode of the show, I just wanna keep the peace. I’m happy for her. I don’t think we need to fake lunches and fake that we’re besties and fake that we want each other at each other’s birthday parties and all of these things. I think our relationship is what it is. We need to own it. And we need not to be nasty to one another,” she explains.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
