Jen Shah’s Exclusive Interview with Andy Cohen

Jen Shah’s sitdown interview with Andy Cohen isn’t happening after all. On Thursday night, the former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star revealed that she will not be doing a one-on-one interview with the Big Daddy of Bravo. This news comes a week after the Watch What Happens Live host announced that he was hoping to sit down with the disgraced Housewife. The mom of two announced the news on Instagram, telling fans, “I will not be doing the 1:1 with Andy Cohen and Bravo.” Jen said she walked away from the interview opportunity because of Bravo’s “unwillingness to remove contractual provisions” that could misrepresent her story on RHOSLC. “This specific 1 on 1 interview was not part of my RHOSLC reality tv contract,” she continued. “I promised myself and my loving family that I would not allow this portion of my life to be sensationalized or inaccurately conveyed.”  Jen added that “too many people have been hurt by my actions” and her “inability to control my own narrative.”  “I would rather remain silent and wait until I am able to accurately share my story than continue having complete lies and misrepresentations about me smeared across headlines,” Jen elaborated.  Read Jen’s full statement below:
Just days prior, Jen teased her interview with Andy on her Instagram Stories. In the post, Jen is in full glam with her hair blowing in the wind as she wears a grey robe and dangling diamond earrings. “Dress rehearsal…see you soon,” Jen wrote alongside the photo. It’s unclear if Jen has plans to tell her story before heading to prison on February 17. She may do a sit-down interview with another network or save any information for a book. Only time will tell. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.

Jen Shah decided not to do the one-on-one interview with Andy Cohen and Bravo because Bravo was unwilling to remove contractual provisions that could misrepresent her story on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC). She wanted to avoid sensationalization and inaccurate portrayal of her life.

Jen Shah acknowledged that her actions have hurt many people and she expressed her regret for not being able to control her own narrative. She stated that she would rather remain silent and wait until she can accurately share her story, rather than have complete lies and misrepresentations about her spread across headlines.

It is unclear if Jen Shah has plans to tell her story before her prison sentence begins on February 17. She may choose to do a sit-down interview with another network or save the information for a book. Only time will reveal her decision.
