Andy Cohen is breaking his silence on Ramona Singer’s recent announcement that she’s exiting the Real Housewives of New York after 13 seasons.
Ramona’s announcement came nearly a month after Bravo revealed the rebooted cast for season 14 of RHONY at BravoCon 2022. The new RHONY cast doesn’t currently include any former stars. Weeks later, reports surfaced that Bravo did not ask Ramona to be a part of the upcoming spinoff show, RHONY: Legacy.
“It’s interesting, [it’s] one of those hilarious things of the internet, which is, every time it was mentioned, it was ‘Please, no Ramona.’ You go on Twitter, ‘Get rid of Ramona!’” Andy joked on Wednesday’s episode of his Sirius XM radio show, “Radio Andy.”
“But the second Ramona announces she’s leaving, ‘Nooo, Ramona’s a legend!’ Like, it’s so funny. It’s so funny,” he quipped before praising Ramona for giving RHONY over a decade of “incredible television.”
Andy then suggested that Ramona’s exit announcement was a little bit shady.
“I had a great conversation with her about this a few weeks ago, and she was — I think she’s very bullish on what she has going on in her life right now,” he continued. “I’m going to leave it there.”
On Wednesday’s episode of Radio Andy, the Watch What Happens Live host also clarified why he told Page Six he was “shocked” by Bethenny Frankel’s new Real Housewives podcast, titled ReWives.
Andy now admits that he was “shocked” by Bethenny’s new podcast since she’s spent the last few years “trashing” Real Housewives.
“I was surprised at that because she’s been trashing the show for the last three years,” he said. “So I was like, ‘She’s been talking about that it’s toxic,’ and it’s this and every bad thing you can think she has been quoted saying about the show … and now she’s doing a ‘Housewives’ recap podcast.”
“I see her quotes, especially when they are negative about the show. So that’s why I was surprised,” he added.
