The Real Housewives of New York Julia Fox reboot is on the rocks, according to one report from Bravo and Cocktails.
According to an insider, recent test filming for the upcoming reboot did NOT go well at all!
“The new RHONY reboot has gone to sh*t! Test filming with the “finalized” cast did not go well, and 3 stars have now dropped out,” a source reveals. “Bravo [is] holding crisis meetings to decide what to do ahead of a potential BravoCon announcement.”
Turns out Bravo may be nixing the reboot altogether and rebranding the RHONY franchise altogether. There’s also chatter of Bravo shifting focus to RHONY Legacy.
“There’s talk of prioritizing Legacy and airing it on Bravo, don’t expect Legacy in the title. My guess from what I’ve heard is they’ll either scrap the reboot or rebrand it to Girlfriends in NYC,” the source added.
A second source backs up the claims, telling Bravo and Cocktails that rumors are true!
The source elaborates, saying that Bravo knows they screwed up with RHONY and that Andy wants the franchise to return to its glory days.
“That RHONY tea is 100% true!!! Bravo [is] majorly regretting their decisions regarding RHONY. Andy watched the first two episodes of Lu and Sonja’s spin-off (allegedly titled ‘Real Housewives of New York: Luann and Sonja take Benton’) and told a producer, “we’ve fucked up big time.” Meetings are being held to see how they can go forward with the two shows; Andy wants RHONY back to its old form, [with] no legacy involved,” the second source details.
Meanwhile, model, actress, and muse Julia Fox is addressing rumors that she’s joining the RHONY reboot.
“They called, but I told them I’m just not really there yet right now,” Julia admitted to ES Magazine.
“But maybe in the future,” Julia added.
When asked if she would ever consider joining RHONY in the future, Julia said she would be open to it only if she could do it on her terms.
“I would only do it if it could be me and my friends on it,” Julia explained.
