Bravo fans are toasting to the return of the Potomac Housewives.
Season 7 of the Real Housewives of Potomac is set to be the biggest and boldest season of the franchise to date. Season 7 premieres on Sunday, October 9, with a super-sized 75-minute episode.
Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Dr. Wendy Osefo, and Mia Thornton are all returning for another season. They will be joined by OG Potomac Housewife Charrisse Jackson Jordan, who starred in the first two seasons of the franchise.
This time around, Charrisse will be an official friend of the Housewives. She will be joined by Mia’s friend Jacqueline Blake, who will serve as a fellow friend of the Housewives.
There’s plenty of drama this season, with most of it focusing on the Housewives’ marriages.
The drama for Karen starts when Candiace accuses her of “sneaking out of town with someone who wasn’t Ray.” This comes nearly a year after they renewed their vows in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary.
Turns out Ray may be A-okay with Karen’s alleged escapades.
“In our marriage, you said I could have eye candy,” Karen tells Ray in the trailer.
Robyn, on the other hand, also has some concerns ahead of her upcoming wedding to Juan Dixon.
“I wanted to talk to Juan about getting a prenup,” Robyn reveals before asking a lawyer, “Are there clauses about infidelity?”
Juan seems to be confused by the concern: “Why are you mentioning it now?”
Meanwhile, Candiace’s newlywed bliss with husband Chris Bassett seems to have faded away.
Ashley and Gizelle have some questions about how faithful Chris is to Candiace after he sends a questions DM to Ashley.
“[At] 2:40 in the morning, I get this DM from Chris,” Ashley tells Robyn before revealing Chris said she “Should come to the W,” which is the hotel restaurant he manages.
“Who were you at the W with?” Ashley questions. “Not your wife!”
Gizelle then reveals to Robyn that she has her own concerns about Chris.
“Many a married man have tried me, and I felt like he was tryin’ to see if I was with it,” she says. “He’s a sneaky link!”
Candiace catches wind of Gizelle’s comments, and she’s not happy. She says, “You want to say that my husband made you feel uncomfortable?” to which Gizelle responds, “100 percent.”
“Gizelle is dead to me!” the 35-year-old tells her husband, who adds, “I didn’t do anything.”
If you think that’s a lot of marital drama, well, buckle up because Ashley and Michael’s drama split takes the cake.
In April 2022, Ashley announced that she and Michael were separating; however, much like their marriage, Ashley and Michael’s split is anything but conventional.
Ashley reveals that she and Micahel are buying a house together, which causes Candiace to quip that “[Ashley’s] crusty ass-grabbing husband,” Michael, may not be out of the picture after all.
“This is not no damn divorce,” says Karen, while Gizelle adds, “You don’t buy a house with a man you are divorcing.”
Ashley later admits that walking away from her eight-year marriage is harder than she thought it would be.
“I’m going to be responsible for the well-being of these two kids,” she cries. Thankfully Ashley has her family’s support, with one family member telling her, “If anybody doesn’t want anything to do with his family, I can’t say he’s a good man.”
The drama doesn’t end there. A major rift forms between Wendy and Mia. Their issues escalate and lead to a martini toss. Karen and Charrisse get into a shouting match. Gizelle’s love life also comes under the microscope, with the group wondering if she is sleeping with Peter Thomas, the ex-husband of former RHOA star Cynthia Bailey.
