Addressing it!

During part one of the Real Housewives of Dubai season 1 reunion, Caroline Stanbury was forced to answer for her husband, Sergio Carrallo’s past racist tweet after it was unearthed earlier this summer.

Sergio’s 2016 tweet using the N-word was thrust into the spotlight amid the premiere of RHODubai.

“He apologized to whoever he thought he should,” the former Ladies of London star said before adding that Sergio was blindside when the tweet came to light all these years later.

Reunion host, Andy Cohen then asked Caroline’s good friend and co-star Caroline Brooks, who is black, what she thought of Sergio’s old tweet.

“That morning when I saw it, when it surfaced, Caroline called me first — furious, like pissed — and then I got on the phone with him because he was really upset,” Brooks explained.

Brooks says she still loves Caroline and Sergio but admits she felt “indifferent” about the tweet because using the N-word is always “unacceptable.”

“Sergio then explained to me he’s never even heard that word before,” Brooks shared. “I explained to him how problematic that is — as did Caroline, she told him — and I think he got a good enough lashing from everybody around him for that. He was very apologetic. He didn’t apologize publicly, but he was apologetic.”

Fellow Dubai Housewife Sara Al Madani revealed that hired a “tech team,” to do some digging. The teach wizard found that the tweet in question “wasn’t attached” to Sergio’s Instagram.

Al Madani explained: “Somebody used his Twitter to promote an R&B nightclub because he was famous back then. He said someone else wrote it to promote it.”

Despite the explanation not everyone in the RHODubai cast was satisfied with the explanation. Chanel Ayan and Lesa Milan claimed that Caroline never addressed the controversy with them.

The part two of the RHODubai reunion airs on September 7 at 9 p.m.
