Brittany and Jax Open Up About Ditching Stassi and Beau’s Wedding After Newlyweds Shade Them For Being Bad Friends

This friendship may be over for good!

Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark recently shaded their former Vanderpump Rules co-stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright for ditching their wedding just hours before leaving for Rome.

On a recent episode of Stassi and Beau’s The Good, The Bad, The Baby podcast, the former reality TV couple set the record straight about some rumors concerning Jax and Brittany’s absence at their recent wedding.

Stassi and Beau explained that Brittany and Jax initially “RSVP’d yes” to their Italian wedding but then talked “s–t” about their big day behind their back.

“Good friends don’t do that. They don’t talk sh-t about your wedding behind your back or pretend that they’re coming and give a list of reasons why they’re not coming to other people. Friends don’t do that to each other,” Stassi explained.

The Off With My Head author accused Brittany and Jax of lying for months about coming to their wedding and then bailing out at the last minute for many BS reasons.

While Brittany and Jax claimed they were “sorry” and that they “loved” Beau and Stassi, the newlyweds aren’t buying it.

“Do you know what love is? I don’t think so,” Beau quipped.

“No,” Stassi agreed. “And it’s not about the fact that you guys didn’t come. It’s the way you handled it. You obviously don’t care that much about us or have that much love and respect for us to communicate and handle it in a respectful way, and I’m not here for it.”

Meanwhile, Jax and Brittany are now sharing their reasons for backing out of Stassi and Beau’s wedding at the last minute.

Jax was the first to speak out, and in typical Jax fashion, he insisted it was “not a big deal.”

“Not a big deal,” Jax explained on Instagram. “We just couldn’t make it, my mother-in-law [Sherri Cartwright] had a death in the family, and our son [Cruz Michael Cauchi] ’s passport didn’t come on time. Things happen.”

On the other hand, Brittany opened up about missing Stassi and Beau’s wedding while appearing on the Betches Moms podcast.

According to the Kentucky native, she and Jax “had actual reasons” for skipping the Italian nuptials, noting that she “would never in a million years do something like that on purpose.”

“[Our son] Cruz’s passport didn’t come in. My mom had a death in the family and had to go home,” she explained, adding that she “really, really, really did want to be there” and “tried everything” in her power to attend the wedding.

Brittany adds that the drama has caused a rift between her and Stassi.

“I know, like, having to wait ’til the last minute and not being able to be there for someone who I really do think of as one of my best friends, like, I feel terrible about, and I’m, like, truly sorry,” Brittany admitted.

The fallout is tough because she, Stassi, and Lala Kent have become super close since having children.

“We’d been meeting up all the time. Like, we were always together. We did mommy-and-me classes and things like that,” she said.

Brittany noted that there was more to the drama between her and Stassi but wasn’t willing to discuss it.

The former reality star hopes “one day we’ll be able to talk about this [and] figure it all out because I do want our kids to grow up together.”

For the time being, Brittany says she’s “just going to give [Schroeder] time” to cool off.

Vanderpump Rules is set to return for season 10 in late 2022 or early 2023.
