Jen Shah Reveals Why She Didn’t Watch Hulu Documentary About Her; Admits She Really Considered Bringing Kim Kardashian Onto Her Legal Team

Bravo fans may have enjoyed Hulu’s “The Housewife & the Shah Shocker” but Jen Shah claims she will NEVER watch the documentary.

“I saw little tidbits here and there, right? But the documentary itself, I didn’t watch it because, first of all, they didn’t talk to me,” the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star revealed to host Adam Newell on an episode of his “Up and Adam Live!”  YouTube series. “They didn’t bring on credible sources or any facts or evidence pertaining to what I’m going through.”

Jen went on to call the investigative program “TV tabloid trash” insisting that she has “no interest” in ever watching it.

“That was my perception of it because I knew it wasn’t based in any facts,” she adds. “So I didn’t watch it at all and my family didn’t watch it.”

Meanwhile, in part two of the interview, Jen opened up about her legal troubles and why she seriously considered adding Kim Kardashian to her legal team.

“I’m fighting for my freedom,” Jen insisted. “I’m innocent. I’m not guilty of any of these charges that I’ve been accused of. I’m innocent.”

Jen faces federal charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud as part of a nationwide telemarketing scheme. The reality TV star was arrested in March 2021 and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

“To me, this is the only option for me, is to fight, to show everybody out there, who was so quick to jump on the bandwagon and make assumptions, that you know what? I’m innocent,” Jen explained. “You fight to vindicate your name and your family’s name. I’m fighting for my family.”

Jen adds that she wasn’t joking when saying she wanted Kim Kardashian to be a part of her legal team.

“I was being very serious when I mentioned Kim Kardashian, because I respect Kim Kardashian for the work that she has done. I am grateful for the work she has done for the Black people that have been wrongly accused, that have been imprisoned, that she has fought for, that she has lobbied for, that she has gone to the White House to fight with, alongside their family, to get people out,” Jen shared. “These are people that should never be there. She took time to do that, and I respect that. I look up to her for that.”

Jen notes that she has “the utmost faith in my legal team right now” and knows she will be proven innocent.

“If you do the right thing, then eventually the right thing is going to happen and you will be blessed, and I don’t know why I’m going through this or my family’s going through this, but I don’t question a lot. I don’t question God’s plan,” she said. “There is a reason for this and I just feel like I need to set an example for others, that you fight. You fight your a** off for your freedom.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently filming season 3.
