Erika Jayne was cold as ice on Wednesday’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen when asked about the rumors Bethenny Frankel heard about her estranged husband Tom Girardi.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made an uncalled-for dig about Bethenny’s late ex Dennis Shields’ death.
Andy Cohen asked Erika about Bethenny’s claims that she knew via Dennis of Tom’s financial and legal troubles long before the former attorney’s embezzlement scandal came to light in 2020.
The Skinnygirl mogul also alleged that Tom owed Dennis $500k.
Erika said, “In the business that Tom was doing, which was [a] contingent fee, it’s not unusual to borrow.”
She continued, “So while that may be true, there were also loans that were really paid off. So I don’t know where Bethenny’s coming from.”
The Pretty Mess signer wrapped by adding, “You know, her guy’s dead and my guy’s in a home.”
Naturally, this dig didn’t sit well with Bethenny or Dennis’ loved ones including his four adult children. As longtime Bravo fans know Dennis died in August 2018 from an accidental prescription drug overdose.
“The episode tonight of @BravoWWHL was taped so I don’t address the comment you [as fans] & Dennis’ children are hurt, offended, and disgusted by,” the former Real Housewives of New York star tweeted on Thursday.
“I appreciate your loyalty, heart, and compassion,” she added.
