Lisa Barlow thinks that her good friend Jennie Nguyen deserves a second chance after being fired from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City over her past offensive Facebook posts.
“I think everyone in life deserves a second chance,” Lisa told TMZ while at the Los Angeles International Airport.
She added: “That’s what we’re trying to do – just be a little bit better every single day, and hopefully we learn from our mistakes and don’t make them again, and I think that’s how we learn sometimes. We have to make mistakes to learn.”
Jennie joined RHOSLC during season 2 and was introduced to viewers as Lisa’s longtime friend. Her time on RHOSLC didn’t last long, as she was fired in late January 2022 after offensive Facebook posts from 2020 surfaced online.
Lisa says Jennie’s firing was a “tough decision.”
“It was really hard for everybody involved, and I hope she’s doing amazing,” Lisa said, adding that she’s had very little contact with Jennie since getting the boot by Bravo. Despite being friends with Jennie for ten years, the two have only talked via a text exchange since January.
“You know, Jennie’s always been nice to me, so I hope everything’s good with Jennie, and she’s always been really busy,” Lisa said.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently filming season 3.
