Almost a year after finalizing their divorce following a 9-year legal fight, Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy are still battling it out in court over custody of their daughter, Bryn.
The former Real Housewives of New York star and her businessman ex-husband will appear in family court on December 8 to fight yet again over custody of their daughter.
Bethenny and Jason were granted joint custody of their now 11-year-old daughter in 2014. Three years later, the Skinny Girl mogul went back to the court and requested sole custody of Bryn. It’s unclear if this upcoming hearing will decide that request or not.
The former reality TV couple met in late 2008 with Jason popping the question during season 3 of RHONY. A very pregnant Bethenny wed Jason in 2010, and they welcomed their daughter a few months later. However, by December 2012, their marriage was over. Bethenny officially filed for divorce a month later, yet their split wouldn’t become finalized for nearly nine years.
Bethenny and Jason’s divorce and custody battle has raged on for years and has resulted in numerous nasty accusations.
In 2017, Jason was charged with harassing and stalking Bethenny following a confrontation at Bryn’s school. Jason was ordered to stay away from Bethenny for six months. He was also not allowed to contact her by phone, email, or through any third party. This move led to Bethenny requesting sole custody of Bryn.
A judge finally signed off on Bethenny and Jason’s divorce in January 2021. Details of Bethenny and Jason’s custody agreement were not made public at the time.
Bethenny celebrated her divorce by getting engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Paul Bernon, in February 2021.
