Kelly Dodd and Rick Leventhal are once again trying to get attention in all the wrong ways.
The former reality TV couple, who love to shock everyone, dressed up like Alec Baldwin in his latest film “Rust” and a Native American for Halloween over the weekend.
Naturally, neither costume went over well on Instagram. The Real Housewives of Orange County couple were slammed for their poor choice of costumes.
“Kelly celebrated her Native American heritage & I celebrated the great American film actor Alec Baldwin #happyhalloween,” Rick wrote on Instagram.

As for Kelly, she captioned several photos from Halloween, “For you haters, I embrace my Native American heritage. I think the fashion is beautiful & this was a tribute & celebration.”

The couple later defended their costume choices while speaking with Page Six.
“In no way was I trying to offend anyone, except Alec Baldwin,” Rick said in a statement to Page Six on Monday. “He’s a jerk and deserves all the heat he’s getting.”
“We planned our costumes weeks ago, and I just decided to be [Baldwin] at the last minute,” he added.
“Of course I feel bad for the victim and her family, but this was never about her or them,” he continued. “If Baldwin is anti-gun, why is he waving them around in movies and pointing them at people and pulling the trigger? Focus your anger at him and the hypocrisy of that industry.”
As you may know, Alec was on the set of “Rust” when he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
“People are way too sensitive,” Kelly noted. “I embrace my Native American heritage. I think the fashion is beautiful, and this was a tribute and celebration.”
The former OC Housewife claimed she received loads of support from Native Americans and only received hate from “woke” people who “don’t have native in their blood like I do.”
“People are always looking to criticize me for anything I do, so this is no surprise,” she continued. “And by the way, I’ve gotten lots of love and appreciation on Instagram, too, so thank you for all the support!”
So, what did fans have to say?
Well, some fans did in fact support Kelly and Rick’s costume choices while others slammed the couple.
“I always defend you both, but hard to find dressing up as Alec funny when a young woman’s life was cut short and a young boy is now without his mum,” one person commented. “Really bad taste Rick.”
Another wrote, “We as women don’t wear the headdresses.. just saying. Or mini-length skirts .. so it’s mockery .. … no shade.”
RHOC is expected to return for season 16 in late 2021.
